The white man is very clever. He came quietly and peaceably with his religion. We were amused at his foolishness and allowed him to stay. Now he has won our brothers, and our clan can no longer act like one. He has put a knife on the things that held us together and we have fallen apart. Chinua Achebe

This is a nice festival. But In Okpanam Delta state, you can't stay close to our masquerade except you're one of us. This is disrespectful. Everyone is crowded around the masquerades. 😮

As an Aro man, I'm thrilled with the display of Aro culture and traditions here. I wish I could be able to visit all Aro diaspora(Aro-uzo)communities whenever I'm back in Nigeria. Please keep it on. God bless

A big thanks to those who organised this great event as well as the one who uploaded it here. I was born and brought up in Arochukwu town. I'm glad that many Aro-uzo(diaspora) communities are coming out with deep sense of belonging by displaying/celebrating their rich culture. I was honoured to watch Aro-ihiteowrri Ikeji festival two years ago. They invited the Aro-uno, headed by Eze-Aro,and that was a massive step. I encourage all Aro communities to follow these footsteps. It's time for all the Aros to display their identities wherever they are. What a great identity indeed!!. Please keep it up . God bless you all. Aro-Okeigbo mmamma nu oo
