this song is so accurate it almost feels like it was written for kingdom hearts and it really does summarize the biggest OOFS of the series like i was already really sad and then it went to the 'you'd think that three children would lead pleasant lives, but that's not how the story goes' with the destiny island trio and it just fuckin HIT ME like a ton of bricks I mean the other tragedy's are fresher in my mind and I thought about them way more often, but just... The simple, quiet tragedy, that those three never got to grow up, Kairi was fucking kidnapped and expirimented on before being sent to a world that wasn't her own, head fucked with so badly that all memory of her previous life is locked behind layers and layers of trauma and repression, as a literal CHILD, and then, later on, Sora, Riku, and Kairi were torn away from their new home, thrust into an adventure they were far too young to be expected to go on Riku was dragged into darkness and anger and rage and hurt his friends _so_ badly, the people he wanted to protect the most, had his body stolen from him, carried so much guilt and shame and regret up until KH3, all when he was just a teenager, just 16 Kairi's prologue already was fucked but then she was ripped from her new home, had her heart and soul physically torn out of her, left braindead and comatose for god knows how long, only to come to just in time to see her best friend dying in front of her, and, in the end? She was left behind back home, without her friends, memories slowly escaping her, again. And, Sora? God, Sora... This kid This fucking _child_ Had the weight of the entire universe put on his shoulders when he was just barely 15 years old Had to fight and kill and risk his life, desperately trying to find and save his friends only to watch the boy that was like a brother to him grow to despise and attempt to kill him, watch him warp into a twisted mockery of who he once was, and, his other friend? Missing her heart, and, as he discovered, only able to wake if he dies. This fucking child picked up the fallen weapon of what once was his best friend and killed himself with it to save his only remaining friend, lost his heart, was turned into a tiny droplet of darkness in a sea of inky black, and even though he was brought back, it was for naught, because he still had to fight the goddamn antichrist as a child and, when all was said and done? Didn't even get to go back home. Watched as he and his only remaining friend were physically pulled apart by the worlds themselves, promising with tears in his voice that he'll come back to her, but, it wasn't to be, not for literal years in which he went through even more hell *You may think that three children may lead pleasant lives, but that's not how the story goes...*

This has been one of my favourite videos on KZbin for a while now. Let me just say that it broke my heart over and over and over again. Amazing work. I can only imagine how many hours it took to draw all of this but man, was it worth it. Also you fixed the annoying ending of the song where either Lemony Snicket's narrating or Mr Poe's cough interrupts the song and I value that
