Surprised that this movie never made it big. Great cast. James Hampton, who would be killed in a fire in "The Longest Yard", Mel Tillis, Art Carney, Don Williams, a great performer in his own right, and of course, Jerry Reed, and others. Even the first gas station attendant, Bill McCutheone, whose name I didn't know, but I've sure seen him in several movies. Great song, too, with the song "A Friend".

The same "liberal", that John Wayne described himself as, and the same turning of a "Liberal", that Malcom X, and Reagan warned us about. Read a book moron.

Willie's new song The Border is a direct reflection of what we now call liberal (effectively marxist) policies. A great deal of us classical liberals have reacted to present day liberalism in a similar sense as Willie reacted to his time in Nashville before Austin and headed for a different scene. FYI: I won't even be voting in this election, so pipe it down in advance with the slurs and smears.
@scottwebster6957 күн бұрын
marxist ? please tell me more.
@jalander88177 күн бұрын
@@scottwebster695 see the marxist’s 100 year march through the institutions. Your liberal friends run the administrative state now. Thats why the FBI, CIA, and the State Department are the good guys now and are the ones “protecting our democracy.” The media, universities, and Hollywood are all the strongest cultural institutions and they all work to create and maintain liberals/liberalism. King Cheeto is one of your guys. He’s a 90’s liberal who is slightly to the left of Bill Clinton yet all those cultural institutions and the administrative state want you to believe he is the second coming of Mustache Man. It’s time for a reality check.

@jalander88177 күн бұрын
@@scottwebster695 tolerant of King Cheeto? Tolerant of that Nazi over there? Tolerant of that fascist? Tolerance isn’t a virtue within itself and liberals are not any more tolerant than “conservatives” -if there is such a thing. The only difference between the liberal’s tolerance is that liberals generally have no philosophical grounding for their morality (secular ethics don’t exist) and “conservatives” (or what used to be called religious religious conservatives) have their morality grounded in their interpretation of the teachings of Jesus. In our modern times, this means that liberal morality can change radically in a short time. For example, in the 60’s liberal morality might have meant integration and acceptance of gays but in modernity liberal morality means acceptance of 40% of a second grade class identifying as being gender fluid.
