I thought I always needed water in order to cook Rice, but if I can make Rice by mixing it with uncooked ground beef, and cook them together, I may do that a whole lot more often now! And I would already have my vegetable for a bowl. 😊☕️

I followed the recipe exactly. The rice did not cook. I had to cook longer. We found the filling to be bland. Probably will not make again.

SNAP should be administered by FNS instead of state agencies such as DC DHS/ESA which does not follow recertification schedules, has been sued various times for against-regulations procedural denials of SNAP benefits to eligible Recipients who are not notified at all before their money is (temporarily) cut off. The notification comes in the form of you show up at the grocery checkout line and discover the monthly allocation has not been added. You then have to fight DHS/ESA perhaps with help from a local govt or social-service agency or councilmembers's office. It can take months, during which rent payments lapse because rent money has to be used for food. DHS/ESA needs oversight and perhaps USDA FNS should take over its operations or at least get in there and supervise them instead of just waiting years and financially fining them which does the Recipients no good at all. SNAP is a wonderful program and people need it. Thank you.

THIS. we need to negotiate when it comes to a request for a modification. Saying "NO" without having the history behind the modification request is NEVER appropriate; in my humble opinion. We cant know the limitation. I was cut off of food stamps because I am homeless and without transportation. In addition I have a disability that I have been unable to get help with BECAUSE OF A DISABILITY. It feels like Im running in an endless maze with no where to run. Something needs to change.
