Unfortunatly I wont be able to help emidiately, at 2:25 my mother was kind enough to loan me her car whilst I fixed mine. Ill check in my garage if i still have a seal left, but best move in my opinion is to take a sample to a local bearing supplier after removing it from the vechile. Iil check in the hand book as well if the mentiin something there.

Nice Video Juan, I just recently serviced and refill my gas on my 300 tdi ,blower motor unit looks exactly like yours under the dashboard at front passenger side. Trying to get the motor out without disconnecting the gas pipes ,is it possible to do this?
@JuanPierreOosthuizen3 жыл бұрын
Hi Gideon, Ja sorry for the stuttering and lack of good explaning. I can see I ain't a good narrator as well. The whole setup is so densely pack that i highly doubt you will be able to remove the motor without disconnecting the pipe. You can try and loosen everything without disconnecting and see how far you get. But the whole aircon dash has to come loose, unfortunately that all the help i can give. I myself just loosen and start rolling with the punches.

Hi, just a quick note having replaced my injector loom recently, you don't need to remove the clips - you can just pinch the clip towards the injector with your thumb and forefinger and lift the cap off, that way you don't risk dropping the clip into the engine. Also can't believe how much room you have around the engine compared to TD5 disco!! Replacing the rear cam oil seal is almost impossible. Good job though 👍
@JuanPierreOosthuizen5 жыл бұрын
Yes thanks for that, that was such a stupid move, i later realized i can do it like you explained, it does make life a lot easier. Hope the video was somewhat helpful. Thanks you.
@mervingovender49085 жыл бұрын
I had to replace a welch plug by myself on my 1991 1.8L Fox and I tried the method of knocking it from the top, but, it would not budge. I then punched a hole in it and tried using a cheap long nose plier to do what you did with the pipe wrench and instead the tip of the long nose plier broke off inside that hole. I could not get that plug out and eventually just to get the car running again I made a sealing plug using a 10mm bolt and 2 x metal washers the size of that hole diameter, placed the bolt head inside the hole with 1 washer filled in high heat silicone and sandwiched it between the 2 washers with a 10mm nut and it worked to seal it for a while. I eventually had to give it to my mechanic to do a proper job. Some piece of advise, NEVER try to clean the holes with anything other than a rag. Using anything rough will remove material and make the hole slightly larger and the original plugs that you buy will not seat properly as you have discovered.
@JuanPierreOosthuizen5 жыл бұрын

@JuanPierreOosthuizen6 жыл бұрын
If the screws are loose and you have undone the air con hoses, then it is just a case or wiggling it out of there. Space is tight so its some what difficult.

@JuanPierreOosthuizen9 жыл бұрын
Hurshill Lutchman you can do it like that if you want, like said, i just did it this way cos of the tools i had, and i didn't want to raise the motor. If you have space and a spare car as well as time then raise the motor, unless ones lazy then leave it in. The tools and methods i used are just a guideline as to how i did it. You should derive your own solution or method from there. Hope ii inspired you to tackle this problem head on. :)
@medmahdibouallegui647610 жыл бұрын
Nicely done but for the next hookah i wouldn't recommand the upside down bowl thing because the juice from the molasses wil drip from the foil holes and then it will be burnt by the heat which causes some of the holes to close up and ur session will then be ruined good sir, other then that great work keep going ;)
@JuanPierreOosthuizen10 жыл бұрын
Its true what you say there and i have experienced it before. All i do to solve it is put one dry packet of molas to my mix, this then takes most of the juices away solving the dripping problem. Further more it goes pretty well hey, thanks for the advice thou.
