The Dongyi people are the ancestors of Korea. The Dongyi people spread across the Korean Peninsula, Manchuria, and the Shandong region, and ruled over the Huaxia people. The Shang Dynasty was also Dongyi and was a vassal state of Gojoseon. Hanbok, influenced by Scythian style with its division into upper and lower garments like the jeogori and skirt, has continued since Gojoseon. During the Yuan Dynasty, when a Goryeo woman became empress and her son became emperor, Goryeo-style clothing became extremely popular throughout China. This style was very different from previous Chinese clothing. Even looking at Chinese TV shows from the 1990s to 2010s, you cannot find clothes similar to what they now claim as Hanfu that resembles Hanbok. When Korean historical dramas became popular overseas, China began adopting the Goryeo-style clothing documented in historical materials, claiming it as their own culture. Now, through the Northeast Project, they claim Korean culture and history as Chinese. The Qing Dynasty, whose rulers were Jurchen people and whose records state they came from Silla, is paradoxically rejected as foreign culture while they claim Korean culture as their own. This is truly absurd. There are many strange comments from Chinese people here. If anyone knows of a country that has maintained its culture longer than Korea, please comment. Ancient Korea has never had its culture altered by foreign invasion and has preserved it well over a long period.

Im reading a Manhwa right now, called Jeong-Nyeon, about Sori, and it got me interested. I found this video by surfing KZbin for Sori and Pansori. This is the first performance tgey do in the story, so it was exciting to recognize it right away. It also helps to give me some audible references for the story!
