When a certain character died later into the series, I was legitimately in denial until the next episode when they were talking about him in the past tense.

I love these summaries so much, these are probably the best LOGH vids I’ve found on YT so far, and it was kind of disappointing to see that this was the last one. I know that covering the entire series was probably too daunting and time consuming of a task, but do you ever think you’ll get around to maybe doing a few more episodes somewhere down the line? Honestly I think even just having a few clips or screenshots up while you recap a episode would be more than enough. The thing about LOGH is that it’s so gigantic and so many people end up stopping somewhere in the middle, and then forget much of the plot and where they left off when they want to pick it back up. I really like these vids in particular because I can go back and catch myself up without having to sit through a few dozen older episodes again before even making it to where I was. If the original OVA is just too much work, have you ever considered maybe covering a few episodes of the new Die Nueue series and either recapping them like you are here, or comparing/reviewing them? It seems to be a much more consolidated and faster paced narrative, ie: episode 50 in the remake covers the story all the way up to episode 100 in the original, gutting a lot of the filler. It’s also much newer and well made and probably would net a lot more views from the newer and bigger audience. Anyways, thanks against for the hard work and effort you put into these, you earned yourself one more subscriber here, and I hope you can figure out a good way to continue growing and sustaining/monetizing your channel. I wish you the best of luck!

I only seen the remake version of the series not the original anima. the only issue that some viewers will have is a lot of dialog heavy episodes. don't get me wrong, it pretty good but the show is mostly dialog heavy in the current season of the remake. there are tons of dialog heavy episodes through the series.

This is my number one anime series of all time. There are no superpowers, realist yet the universe seems surreal. This show made me go back to retro animes.

This anime exceeded all my expectations. Never had I thought that I'd find everything I love in a single show. And the anime is not short of music by Mahler, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, and even Handel. Handel quite perfectly suits the galactic's imperial nature, while Mahler works almost as well in space battles. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gabaaYygiMd-mpY this in particular is often played throughout the anime series.

@Voyages in Time Hi from Belgium, When you say it had a poor animation in the first season, do you mean a low number of frames per second? I think Grendazer(Goldorak) had only 8 images per second. The drawings are beautiful anyway :) Cheers

Why does the title in REASEARCH appear in French then it is in English? Did YT just change its language options? Cause this sucks. Seems a nice video though. I never read the manga and it’s true there are a shite load of characters.

I came across this anime about a month and a half ago and it instantly became my favorite anime of all time. I had just finished watching the Gundam UC timeline and needed an epic futuristic anime to watch. Well, let’s just say what I found blew away my expectations and probably changed my life. I just finished watching everything on this series. I watched the OVA’s, the movies, the original series, and the reboot. The writing and the scoring are just phenomenal. So much care was put into each character. Not a single thing felt out of place in this show. It’s the first time I ever watched a show this long running and didn’t cringe at least one time due to bad writing. Absolutely legendary.

2:50 - No you won't. Half of them are straight up simplified stereotypes. At most you'll understand the Empire characters. Good Luck knowing the motivations of say Mashengo. Or hell, even Cazerne aka " _The Family Man_ ". 3:00 - Agreed. FFXIV kills characters but " _not really_ ". 4:32 - Disagree. There's evidence of plot shields in play ;3 Never once have they talked about shields then suddenly one episode, you get shots being reflected of ships. Me and my friend laughed and started saying it was the proof of plot shields in action. 8:42 - Very subjective. The space battles put me to sleep initially. I had to grow into liking them because I simply couldn't take " _He had been up for 38 hours and more of the battle at hand without any signs of exertion, truly a remarkable man!_ " with any grain of truth to it. Characters are frequently up for insane amount of hours being fine. The space battles themselves are pretty devoid of any excitement - UNTIL you start really appreciating them but that takes a good chunk of like 20-25 episodes on a whole. And the space battles themselves can be described as loopholes, plotholes and convenience luck. Uniquely different? Absolutely not so. I absolutely love 0079 Gundam but that doesn't change the fact that they re-use a lot of footage in combat. And they absolutely do the same in LOGH a lot. So no, they are not uniquely different at all. No the character don't have to consider those things at all. That only comes up in a few situations, and the magical conjecture that is the corridor of Iserlohn which makes, no goddamn sense. And considering space, they could just fly around it all. But I guess they had to funnel it into being naval battle in space combined with Star Trek's space magic shenanigans of the universe ( _I do love my Star Trek_ ). Though the episodes where they actually have to consider such stuff, they are good. Just saying, you're singing high praises for something that isn't relevant in most cases. Very high praises for the few times things happen.. I'd call this borderline disingenuous. 11:30 - Countries? Countries? It's not countries. It's interplanetary Alliances and Empires. 13:40 - Also, SPAAAACE STALIN lel 14:30 - I recommend Star Trek TNG and Data's comment regarding Terrorism.
