Have you ever been caught in a dilemma as to whether you should restart something you were working on? Whether or not it’s a midway progress, or a finished product. Be it drawing, painting, sculpting, cooking, and many more. I often find myself starting over whenever I’m in doubt, and sometimes it can be painful if you have already invested a good amount of time and effort to achieve the current progress. However, sometimes such a step is necessary so that you can achieve something greater. This can also apply to other aspects of life - perhaps while you are chasing your dreams, working on a relationship, striving for goals in your career or something else; When things don’t feel right, never be afraid to take a step back, recharge and start over if you absolutely need it ❤️✨

This was the first time I spent time doing art after so long, so everything felt new to me. To be honest, it was not easy as I thought, but it made me realise a lot of things! 1. My texture paste making ratio could have been planned out better, I started off with too much water so I ended up with a huge amount of texture paste. However, good thing is that I managed to use it for my 3D sculpture making! 2. My gold leaf application was a little tough, since I have no prior experience. I'm pretty sure the way I did it was wrong, because it caused many troubles for me. At first, I thought it went well but then I realised they would come off when I brushed off using my brush. And they stuck onto the hair of my brush too... By the way, wear a mask and safety goggles because they flew all over when I was doing it. 3. The artwork with the rope should have been done on a canvas but I decided to do otherwise, next time I shall make a proper artwork with the original idea in mind! 4. Don't be shy on the masking tape if you really want to prevent your material from touching the sides of the canvas 😅 I actually forgot to do it for the gesso board as well.. What are your experiences with gold leaf? Would any kind soul please tell me why the flakes would stick onto other parts of my painting like this as shown in my video? 🥺

Omgg hii! I'm so happy you're back! ✨ I love doing crafts but I am not creative and I don't know how, but because of you I learned a lot of crafts and somewhat developed my creativity. I enjoyed watching your videos and it really helped me to pursue my passion in making crafts. I was just in junior high school by the time I discovered your channel (2016) and kept on checking if you have a new video these past few years. I actually started off this piece on the wrong foot, because my paint mixture went wrong as I was testing out a different texture paste recipe. Had to scrape all of it to the bin since they hardened faster than I thought 😅 Ended up using my modelling paste from Taobao, and while this artwork is nowhere close to perfect, I thoroughly enjoyed the process - which I think is what matters the most. What is something that you failed at but still enjoyed the process of doing it? ✨
