I think the normal altroz would be a more practical decision since everything is almost same in both the cars. Yes the racer produces a bit more power with the same engine and handling is a bit improved. Paying 3-4 lacs extra doesn't make sense according to me.

We have a 2007 Santro and a 2019 Tucson diesel. I still enjoy driving the Santro even more than the Tucson. As it gives you the raw mechanical feel that newer cars lack.

Maruti is lighter than a tata car and can extract a good number in terms of mileage. But this is not the case in a Tata car, it doesn't compromise on the build quality. So it is using 3 cylinder to get a good mileage. The new gen swift gets a 3 cylinder now and even worse build quality than before.

I wish if RE could given oil cooling + liquid cooling both in this engine. Ofcourse, 2 radiators could incur a lot of maintenance cost.
