Lots of Mexican-Americans first language is normally English then Spanish. It’s ok because me and Selena in the same boat. 😂😊

It is not her fault her Spanish is not as good because she grew up speaking English 99% of the time and her exposure to Spanish probably limited even at home. Or her mom and dad spoke spanish to her and she answered back in english. But if she continues to speak it on a routine basis (even 15-30 mins a day) she will be proficient to native-speaker level. I am just writing this based on comments that I read here. I may be entirely wrong because I do not speak Spanish.
