This is not a flex; nor is it a brag, or a form of judgement upon others; it is merely a statement-of-fact: Some sectors and populations have been AWAKE for decades, and have been keenly-aware of how Humanity has veered into Zone One of a lava flow. We've watched this bizarre 'Black Mirror Universe' version of a figurative "Sinking of The Titanic" [substitute THE EARTH for 'Titanic' in this analogy] Event, wherein the cataclysm occurs in broad-daylight, at High Noon; and all of the Captains of Industry/Country make a deliberate decision to steer towards the unyielding iceberg, while those on the lower decks are trapped and unheard. The Socialites are on-deck, sipping champagne - and if one of The "Lessers" dare speak of impending disaster through one of the locked gates to the sunshine, they are soundly-dismissed (either with casual laughter, claims of hysteria, or worse: They get bludgeoned to death with a bottle of expensive bubbly). We have been in this warped Timeline since Reagan - and everybody knows. Now what? We fight. And there's an entire set of industries and traditions dedicated-to suppressing dissent (while paradoxically salivating for it, because they KNOW how a Clampdown works). Stay alert. Be safe. Be prepared.

I went to see not long after its release in the early 60s, largely because of me hearing it had ben scored by Bernstein. Unfortunately, the 'art cinema' where it way playing in Toronto had lousy, distorted audio. I've seen the film since of course. This it truly a terrific score. One of the best things Bernstein had done. Too bad he didn't get along with the director. He could have done much more valuable film work.

Creatively clever stuff from 1992, have the DVD had never seen the video before, what a treat. I normally suck a mint when suffering from " bad actor taste ". If & when contemporary/vintage music/lyrics gives me skin tingles high not unlike ASMR, it's a wonderful feeling, I miss it so much.

Nah, internet. Mobile phones were dumb for about 20 years, until you could watch videos (like this) on them. Now that they're "smartphones" (basically mini-computers we take everywhere) they can feed us advertising and visual junk-food just like TV used to do (or still does). And we're still dumb enough to watch.
