I'll admit, I was really hesitant to spend a bunch of time learning this new add-on, but your videos are super friendly and easy to follow without getting dull. I'm just seeing more and more awesome possibilities with each new video! As someone who got totally ripped off by investing in Substance just before Adobe rug-pulled us, I'm so excited to really learn this add-on and tell everyone I know about it. :D Thank you for your continued work on it. This is a really awesome bit of software you've built and I'm so happy I bought it!

Best addon i've ever payed for. Just one thing, in Blender 4.1 and newest version of PBR painter, bevel mask doesn't work. It does nothing.

This is going to be awesome and you are awesome and I am so glad that you stuck around to keep working on your addon. Many, many other creators just fizzle out pretty quickly. My suggestion: About the approach of painting the other channels, after the fact for performance. How about there is a hotkey(and a corresponding toggle in the ui maybe) that lets you paint, diffuse only, and then decide WHEN the other channels are to be painted. That way also, you can still toggle on/off channels that you might consider, during the painting process, to be less necessary. Also, can we assign a different alpha mask to each channel? Roughness, normal, diffuse ect? Oppacity per channel? With keyframable sliders? (do you have to allow for keyframing when you create a slider for blender?) Is the "random" in the mapping channel for the alpha random per "mousebuttondown" or updating parameters as the stroke continues?(so a solution would be per tick, per x/y value change, per float-someting(or other) time/frame(whatever). If that is possible in python. Kind regards

The power of "Smart" materials is awesome, are you aware of places that use your addon and have a library of smart materials for PBR painter? Free or to buy? Little un-tapped market there to have 25-50 premade materials.

I’m a Blender user, coming from 3dsmax and Maya. It just destroys me how it’s so damn complicated to link up two BASIC normal maps with all that crazy complicated linking going on. It took you 22 minutes to make 2 simple bump maps. It should b no less than a single minute to make this. Blender should have 2 or (multiple) slots where you c an stick your texture map, and have a pulley which determines how soft or strong it should be, one dominating the other. Blender is so unnecessarily (still) so complicated. It’s a free software, so that’s the one saving grace.

Yes definitely - PBR Painter directly handles baking multiple materials, across different slots, into a single set of textures.

This looks like a huge update! The asset browser to layers feature will be really helpful. pre-baking the mesh maps makes a lot more sense too

It would be nice if you had a preset for the UDIM Tile settings for pixel width and height. The standard 1024, 2048,4096 - so we don't have to enter it every time, ideally if should input it to both height and width fields.

Excited to try - Question - PBR materials in asset browser, is there a way to apply them as paint layer from asset browser? Or apply them and create mask to paint the material on?

Currently you just need to make an Image Texture mask after importing, but you will be able to import as a painted layer shortly.

This is now possible in the latest beta version :) So you can import your texture set or nodes and paint them immediately.
