Notably, Dozle would join his little brother and, despite holding a higher military rank and being the older sibling, would operate as Garma's righthand man rather than take control. If Gihren wins, despite being Space Hitler, his reign results in a golden age of economic, technological, and social prosperity for humanity as a whole. The only difference is how harsh his punishments for disobedience are, depending on whether or not the player is onboard with war crimes or not during the OYW. If the player is against further colony drops and massacres, Gihren's reign is depicted as strict, but fair. If the player is full on colony drops and atrocities, Gihren is depicted as extremely harsh, but pragmatic enough to not be a total sadist and keeping the people happy to avoid uprisings. Either way, Gihren winning is the good end for the Universal Century, as it avoids the Titans, the Neo Zeon wars, etc. by having the entire Earth sphere under his rule, and Earth/Zeon is so technologically advanced and militarily powerful in the future that the Crossbone Vanguard, Zanscare, Jupiter Empire, etc. never even try to screw with them, meaning Gihren established a lasting peace for generations and uplifted all of humanity, and all it cost was toppling the corrupt Earth Federation and dropping a colony or two.

Interesting history. Only issue is when you start equating the governments between “left and right wing”. Modern politics really doesn’t apply and if it did, you have the parties reverse as historically it’s the “left wing” that seeks to expand government and restrict rights of minorities.
