This is the greatest worst movie scene ever lol. It’s even more hilarious played in different speeds. Slow motion being my favorite. It’s hilarious how the kid screams after being smacked instead of before! 😂

Bits of this sequence were in the final trailer that I saw in 1979, in a theater, before another movie started, and the trailer included the kid in the sleeping bag and the subsequent explosion. As God is my witness, I remember that people LAUGHED in the theater at the kid hopping around and then all the feathers flying around. I'm not lying. No wonder the movie tanked.

0:29 to 0:36 is a perfect depiction of a Metapod attempting to run away from an Ursaring, only for it to fail and subsequently get hit by Ursaring's Hammer Arm. Clearly it was a critical hit as well.
