Wow Brendan, this is really on point! Love the entire thing from the music to the visuals, to the puzzle section you added! Genius! The modulation at the end was a really nice touch as well! The professor does look mildly unhinged in some parts, hahah.

Hah! Thank you - I didn't have a plan for the video when I made the arrangement, but the puzzles worked out quite well with the scripted solo section. I also try to make key changes interesting when I add them - in this case pivoting from Cm to Em (and back) seemed to just fit, plus it lays well on both hands of the accordion.

One of, if not the, saddest songs in Chrono Cross and the gaming world as a whole. I never expected to hear this song played on an accordion, but when it came across my feed, I knew I had to stop and give it a listen. Beautifully done. Thank you for sharing this with all of us.

And thank you - comments like yours is a huge reason why I continue to make these videos. When I first started playing accordion in 2004 this was one of the first tunes I knew I needed to learn to play - it is, to me, one of the most powerful pieces of music in all of VGM.

i was randomly searching for some music theory breakdown for mystical ninja starring goemon music, because no one freaking talks about how hard it slaps. not a single gaming music channel bats an eye at this game, everyone sleeping on how HARD japanese composers can outcompose any big band classic old head composer that lived on the missisippi river. depending on which speakers i listen to the soundtrack on i swear there is a jazzy funky bass line that is STANKY AND SINFULLY SOULFUL in every track in this game even for like a ten second song. composing circles around our dear meistro koji kondo (hot take sorry, particularly just the 64 soundfont era) this video was actually not an algorithm blessing!! so underrated! , i was desperatefor any sort of remix after no theory or breakdown so i was a few pages deep - i came for the accordion (i mean, duh, instaclick, you slay it) but stayed for the absolute madlad singing in the recording booth; i didnt know I needed to see someone go so hard like I do, albeit alone, in the shower with no mic or camera or people in the house. this soundtrack absolutely fits singing while makin the stank face, i appreciate the passion for such an iconic theme for the five of us. im right with you, perhaps mumblin through the japanese, punchin hard on those english lyrics, givin in that ~classic cartoon vibrato~ thank you for this obscure choice. yall freaks and im here for it. also just talent is nice to stumble upon - keep it up! bravo! da da dash yikes sorry word vomit
