What year and model? It might be hard to see, but there is a release clip. If they are soldered, perhaps someone installed aftermarket speakers? Have NEVER seen a set of 4runners speakers this gen that are soldered. If you get a chance, send us a pic over a support at taco

Thank you for the input . . . you might want to check if your battery is reaching a “full charge” we have used these in MANY vehicles as starting batteries. MOST AGM batteries are more than capable of “dual use” in gas vehicles. However, we have seen bad cells occur in these batteries on occasion (pretty much any brand will have this occur). The battery never reaches a full charge and in the AM you may have a sluggish start. Try putting a DMM on the battery - on a cold start AM - check the voltage BEFORE and during the startup. After a long drive turn off the truck and check the voltage. You might have a bad cell in your battery.

@@tacotunes Just to be clear, I have not had issues using this battery under the hood outside of an as you put it "sluggish start" in cold weather. However, like I said in quotations the manufacturer themselves said "The SK-BT120 is not designed to go under hood or in the engine compartment." Again, I have not had this battery fail. But given that the battery is again by the manufacturers own words "The SK-BT120 is not designed to go under hood or in the engine compartment." I believe this should be made clear to the customer as using this battery requires modification to the stock battery cables and not to mention that using the battery in this capacity will likely cause issues with warranty claims. Please understand this is not meant to be a tear against your company but to inform your customers since the video, your website nor the manufacturers website are not clear on this topic. No hate intended I genuinely look forward to seeing what products you guys develop next. Cheers

@ I understand your trying to cover your tooshi due to you probably having a professional shop. Rewatch your video before your next response so you can see what everyone in the comments is also saying as they noticed the same thing. It’s touching for sure. On top of that, depending on the amp settings, when that bass gets goin, it’s gonna kick out at least another half inch when music is playing. They will be blowing foam pieces from the outer ring all over the place within a couple of months. Do you do warranty work if this does happen due to the install? or do you tell everybody “it’s not touching by a half inch” so that way when it does and inevitably happen, it doesn’t come back on you to replace for free?
