I'd be very interested to see a 3 body torsional simulation with a moment applied to one part transferring torque through 2nd into the 3rd component , simulating a torque transfer from component 1 to 3 via a splined connection.

In the fatigue option you applied the zero based fatigue loading from 0 to 1. It means the load is oscillating from 0 to 4000N? Can we put the frequency as well?

Is it possible to save the material defined in Ansys WB to a location of our choice on the hard disk so that previous records are not lost when the hard disk is formatted?

If we have point load and distributed loads altogether on the same beam, then this equation will hold or we have to derive the new one?
@themechanicalengineer
@themechanicalengineer Ай бұрын
If a beam has both point loads and distributed loads (UDL), the shear force and bending moment equations will not be the same as they would be for a beam with only UDL. You will need to derive new equations that account for the combination of both types of loads.

Why Tempearture is NOT considered ? Any specific reason ?
@themechanicalengineer
@themechanicalengineer Ай бұрын
No specific reason. For simplicity, I focused only on pressure in this analysis. However, in real-world stress analysis of a spherical pressure vessel, temperature should certainly be considered as it can significantly affect material properties and stress distribution.

How would you treat a plate that has a distributed and has 4 side welded to keep the contents inside.
@themechanicalengineer
@themechanicalengineer Ай бұрын
I'm not an expert in welding design, but as a starting point, you'll need to look at the forces acting on the plate from the load it’s holding. From there, you can determine the type and size of welds required to handle those forces.

In a two degrees of freedom (2-DOF) system, the natural frequencies 𝜔1 and 𝜔2 are determined from the system's dynamic equations, which are typically derived using methods like Newton's laws or Lagrange's equations.

My expertise lies in the vibration of systems, but for loudness measurements, you can use sound level meters (SLM) to measure sound pressure levels, usually in decibels (dB).

where do i get S-N curve for fatigue analysis? when i clicked "solve" it asking for S-N Curve
@themechanicalengineer
@themechanicalengineer 4 ай бұрын
For predefined materials, the SN curve is already available in ANSYS. For custom materials, the SN curve needs to be defined in the material information.

According to the body which shows the plan of the foot step bearing, when doing assembly drawing of it are we supposed to draw the full diagram or sectional
@themechanicalengineer
@themechanicalengineer 4 ай бұрын
We should draw the full diagram, but we can convert the drawing into a sectional view. This helps in clearly showing the internal features and components, which are crucial for understanding the assembly and function of the bearing.

Sir help me I'm lost im Calculation of Forces acting on Pinion (P) wen we ar drawing forces I don't understand why is Big circle being called driving gear and sometimes is Driven Gear ,im lost 😐 i only know that if we came a cross 2 gears meshing The bigger 1 is Driven and smaller one is driver
@themechanicalengineer
@themechanicalengineer 4 ай бұрын
It's not about the size of the gear. In the question, if it is stated that "the shaft or gear receives power," it means it is a driven gear. If it is stated that "the shaft or gear delivers power," it means it is a driving gear.
