Loved loved loved the video!! I have always been fascinated by the brother’s interactions & saddened by their misunderstandings. (Mostly by Thor, bc I relate so much to Loki. [i.e., why didn’t he attempt to blunt Odin’s overwhelming idolatry towards himself… to the detriment of his brother? Why didn’t he see how he & his friends words hurt Loki as they were teens? Why couldn’t he see the desperation in Loki’s face, say, in Ragnorok, when they’re discussing splitting up for good and what Loki WISHES to hear is that Thor still wants and needs his brother rather than simply telling him “it’s best for the both of us… what you’ve always wanted”. Yes, if you’ve rebelled against your family bc you wish for them to love and accept you as YOU, it’s quite difficult to backtrack & say “no no, I didn’t mean it.” ] Loki’s world was blown to bits by his moronic father (I’m not even going to get into that) and what he needed was a slightly more mature and understanding Thor to enfold him back into the family, with assurances that there had been mistakes but that he, Loki, was accepted as an equal by Thor’s side. I honestly believe (from the way the Marvel movies were made) that that was exactly what Loki desired - and when you look at the shining eyes of the very young Loki, all I (personally) see is complete admiration and love for his older brother at that moment in time. Should Odin NOT have been such a dick about showing such favoritism; if Asgard had not been such a warrior culture that looked down on learning and magic and basically all that made Loki special; if Thor had not been been such a thick headed (normal) but more than usual teenage dullard who recognized the poisonous situation in which Loki was growing up by his side; if only if only… And if Loki’s suicidal fall had not led him into the path of Thanos and his dangerous chaos creating spear of doom, much suffering could have been avoided. I know there are several points in time where Thor attempts to rescue his brother, but he frequently doesn’t understand Loki or Loki’s motivations for what he does. OTOH, Loki saves his brothers life in Thor the Dark World, himself becoming mortally wounded in the process, and it’s only later that Loki comes up w the notion to disquiet himself as the soldier returning from the battlefield to report to Odin and then illusion himself into his fathers place on the throne. Loki doesn’t “save his brothers life” but when all is said and done, he decides to join the forces of good and helps fight back his sister and then that creature w the horns until the citizens of Asgard can be transported elsewhere. And, of course, he goes on a suicidal mission to try and save his brother (and the citizens of NYC) by trying to trick a man three times his size w two time stones on his person. When looked at thru that prism, the God of Mischief doesn’t seem so chaotic or mischievous. He just appears sad, alone, lied to for his formative years by the biggest hypocrite on the planet, and then, even in defeat, he does indeed come to his brothers rescue, bc as much as he tells himself he hates his family, he loves them just as fiercely. Truly awesome video!! 🎭🦄🥰🥰
