Yeah just because they are old doesn't mean auto maric penny, which it would be nice if it did. In the old days before apps or scanners that's how we would find "surprise" pennies. If you couldn't find a seasonal date by the bar code, we went but the copyright date and if it was 4 years old, it would usually be a penny att register but not on occasion we would find some FP too

Okay so I found my first remodel store and they're not remodeling until next week but it says they're closed on Sunday so does that mean there will be no opportunity to get penny items?

@@ggonzalez701 find out what day they will reopen and take your chances. Most say they will open on Thursdays and some remain closed until Friday mornings. Go through your app, add everything from each category that shows 1/2 price (some will be remodel items that will Penny and others are part of the 50% off sale right now but add everything that is 50% off just in case). Make your list, study it and be ready when they reopen. A lot of things may be pulled but check the sky shelves as the company that comes in to remodel will do inventory and most penny items will be on sky shelves, just FYI. Blessings and hope you find some!

Try typing the barcode in because if it has a small barcode number, it usually doesn't scan

Hey Jenny, when your phone is acting up just go into dg customer and forget network and close out to start over. Works for me when I have that problem. It’s so frustrating to be running back and forth to the front of the store. I come back when I saw the lamps. Be checking the ones with the 18.00 price tags. I’ve gotten 4 in the last 3 weeks.

@@PennyFowler-t4q I scanned all the yogurts up there, different UPC. They also had a few of the cheese sticks things but scanned FP and different UPC too. It was disappointing. I know this store reset because the shelf tags I scanned for some of the items that were out were a penny. 🤷
