My initial thought process was root 9 times root 8 which is 3 * root 4 * root 2 or 3*2*root2 (6root2). This is an extra step but it allows you to work with smaller numbers

Hi, I have my GCSE exam tomorrow and it'd be great if you could answer this If the question is a high mark question (3/4/5/6) and it doesn't specify whether or not you have to show your working, will you get full marks if you show no working but get the correct answer? AQA Maths btw

You can’t just type in a quadratic simultaneous equation and get it to produce an answer. You need to substitute the linear equation into the quadratic and use the calculator to solve the quadratic equation.
