Title: Red Sands of Valor In the scorching deserts of a foreign land, a elite team of soldiers, code-named "Sands of Valor", are deployed to take down a ruthless terrorist organization, known as "The Scorpion's Tail". Led by Captain Jameson "Hawk" Wilson, a seasoned veteran of combat, the team consists of experts from different countries, each with their unique skills. As they navigate the treacherous terrain, they are ambushed by the terrorists, leading to a brutal and intense firefight. The team fights their way through the enemy lines, with bullets flying and bodies dropping. They soon discover that the terrorists possess a deadly new weapon, capable of wiping out entire cities. The stakes are raised when they learn that the weapon is hidden in a heavily fortified stronghold, deep within enemy territory. The team launches a ferocious assault on the stronghold, with explosions rocking the ground and bloodshed everywhere. They fight their way through the enemy's defenses, with hand-to-hand combat and gruesome killings. As they near the weapon, they face off against the rogue general, who unleashes his personal guard, a team of ruthless mercenaries. The battle is fierce and intense, with the Sands of Valor team taking heavy casualties. In a last-ditch effort, Hawk and Amir launch a final attack, with Hawk taking down the general in a brutal hand-to-hand combat. With the weapon destroyed and the enemy defeated, the team extracts from the stronghold, but not without scars, both physical and emotional. They return home, hailed as heroes, but forever changed by the horrors of war.

FADE IN: EXT. DESERT LANDSCAPE - DAY HAWK (whispering into comms device) Alright, team. Intel suggests the enemy is hiding in the nearby stronghold. Let's move in. JAX (checking his weapon) Roger that, Hawk. I'm ready to take point. LILA (eyeing the terrain) I've got our six, Hawk. Let's move out. HAWK (nodding) Move out! Suddenly, the team is ambushed by terrorists. TERRORIST 1 (shouting) You'll never take us alive! HAWK (returning fire) Take cover! JAX (firing his weapon) I've got multiple hostiles, Hawk! LILA (throwing a grenade) Get down! CUT TO: The team regrouping, battered and bruised. HAWK (to team) We need to keep moving. The weapon is still out there. JAX (wincing in pain) I've got a bad feeling about this, Hawk. LILA (checking her gear) We need to get that weapon before it falls into the wrong hands. AMIR (approaching the team) You're the Sands of Valor team, yes? I've been sent to assist you. HAWK (sizing Amir up) What makes you think we need your help? AMIR (smiling) Let's just say I have skills that will come in handy. CUT TO: The team approaching the stronghold. HAWK (to team) Alright, here's the plan... JAX (interrupting) Hawk, I've got a bad feeling about this. HAWK (firmly) We do this, Jax. We get in, get the weapon, and get out. LILA (nodding) Let's do it! CUT TO: The fierce battle, with explosions rocking the ground and bloodshed everywhere. HAWK (shouting) Take cover! JAX (firing his weapon) I've got multiple hostiles! LILA (throwing a grenade) Get down! AMIR (taking down enemies with ease) I've got your back, Hawk! CUT TO: The final showdown, with Hawk taking down the rogue general. HAWK (gritting his teeth) You're not taking anyone else down today. ROGUE GENERAL (sneering) You're no match for me! HAWK (delivering a deadly blow) I've got news for you. FADE OUT.

Bro I ain't watch Naruto or Shippuden and I ain't ever have an interest in it cuz it's so dang long. But goddamn if this isn't the best incentive to actually watch it. It'd be especially interesting to keep what you've laid out in mind while watching it.
@NarrativeArcade

You can half it by skipping the filler episodes (besides a few comedic ones). The filler just destroys the pacing. I wish they'd re-release it as an abridged version to tidy everything up. Maybe the announced remake will fix all that.

Hashirama the worst character in Naruto, dude is a failed Naruto who failed very badly and he’s a Mary Sue who’s strong for no reason and has powers no one else has for no reason he strong for no reason unlike people like madara who spent their whole lives training and obtaining power and power ups

One of the things 343 really did right and what I most respect them for, starting with halo 4 and building on it in Infinite, was introducing the theme of failure to Chief’s character. He may be the best humanity has to offer, an evolution even, but he’s still not a perfect machine. That was the correct approach to humanizing the character. Not showing his face.

For a story like this what I think what this analysis misses is how they stack different facets of the story on top of each other, which I thought would be mentioned in the character web section but didn't. Sigh. Also on the surface Peterson's quote is fitting here, but the situation is much more complex than that regarding Eren's character, which partly due to almost no western contemplative media have a good grasp for the subject of divine or eternal conflicts, embodied in human form. But when any show take this route it's a risk for both authors and readers. For example, how would a man lived 1000 years' perception and world view look like? Movie "The Man from Earth" although got a lot praise but did a terrible job. In Eren's case, to reduce his motivations down to childish impulse and vengeance is too superficial. The plot already implied that Ymir, as an embodiment of fixation/attachment of "obedient love" needed to be resolved here by reenact the scene once more, which is to let Eren become the King Fritz of ultra destruction once again, and let his faithful lover Mikasa kill him to dissolve this attachment. Otherwise, the attachment would be ignored and Ymir would just play this out time and time again, bring the world into spiral of desperation. So for Eren, the only conclusion he got is to face this head on and let this drama play out in front of Ymir to end this cycle once for all, so Peterson's advices of "look at the abyss and keep on looking, you would see the light" is more fitting here. Your failure of linking this together is not entirely up to you, but also the author's problem of not punctuating enough on this, the deep sorrow of 2000 years suffering is not felt enough. But to be honest, I do not know how to fix this, since to make this too explicit would also reduce the power of eternity, and the point is felt emotion, not logic exposition. Also Eren's confusion regarding future/past all mixed together suffered the same problem, it's on point but not salient enough for the audience to really absorb. I caught this only because I spent a lot of time on this topic and had related experience through psychedelics, so I can say it's "on point", but to anyone who do not had this kind of influence, through ancient religious texts, historical opera, or psychedelic experiences, I don't know how to communicate that - maybe aside from top execution between music, animation, but stack layer upon layer of meaning on top of each other, would gave you more taste of the sacred.

Hell yeah dude. Awesome work, well worth the wait. I can tell you left a lot on the table, which just tells me about how much this meant to you, but I know you don’t want to turn into a Naruto channel, regardless of however much you’ve got left in the tank. Which in terms of content, I’m sure is plenty, but as for energy, is 0, because the effort here is clear. I can’t wait for season 2, and to see you similarly absorbed by whatever you choose for its finale!

Thank you! Yeah, it's unfortunate but my PC was not able to handle longer projects. Premiere Pro felt like I was surfing the 90s internet with a 56k modem lol Can't wait to upgrade honestly. The other problem is still that this is just a one-man-operation. So, going any longer would've extended the dry spell for more than two months and unfortunately, KZbin rewards mostly consistency. It could've been easily four hours long, but I think I'll revisit Naruto in the future for a clean up. Breakdown the other villages and remaining characters. It pains me to have left out Rock Lee and Mighty Guy's relationship.

I'll take a blind shot at it and guess those are Guts from Berserk, and Isac from Dead space. You cannot get anymore unlucky than those two. As far as I know at least. Scratch that, add in Subaru from RE: Zero to replace either one. Nothing tops the mental and physical torture that poor kid goes through.

Simple solution. Don't adapt it, Don't re-write it, Don't try to make it your own. Take the games and scene for scene make them live action. Boom instant sucess. The only thing you change is Reach, do the story from the book not the game. Game and Anime live actions fail because the directors try to do their own thing. WE DON'T WANT YOUR THING!!! WE WANT OUR THING!!!!

I am so relieved you went in depth on how the series failed Master Chief, large in part due to the fallacy that the character's face needs to be shown in order for the audience to relate or be drawn in.

Is the idea of the shadow related to A Wizard of Earthsea
@NarrativeArcade
@NarrativeArcade Ай бұрын
No, it goes back to Jungian Psychology but Jung's archetypes are quite common in many forms of storytelling. In screenwriting for example, I know the shadow as part of the Character Spine: a character's internal need and external want. Only when they overcome their internal need (flaw/shadow), will they get their external want. There's a bunch of names for it and it appears in Western and Eastern storytelling. So, I'd venture to guess it was used in A Wizard of Earthsea (I've never read it though).

Master chief was never the main reason I ever was interested in halo as a kid. It was the world, aliens, technology, music, and events around him that drew my attention. He is supposed to enhance the story, not be the story. He is a 2D character! Master chief never spoke much because he did not need to!

Nvm, found in your comment that you went to film school in LA, that explains it. And I'd love to throw in an analysis request for The Last of Us. Plus as you are extending the channel, I'd love to help with whatever I can. Not a trained writer but obsession with storytelling is my merit haha.
