@opeoluwaadeyeri thanks, I had to check and found out that it was the alx key missing in the authorized keys.

@@opeoluwaadeyeri I finally was able to get the IP, but now it's giving me permission denied (publickey). I generated my bublic key on puttygen and I did save it on my profile

try using netstat command as well to identify the process associated with port 5000 in your infrastructure

specifically: sudo netstat -tulnp | grep 5000

I didn't checkout to a new branch because I didn't understand why, now nothing checks, please assist

Some of the tasks require that we reconfigure some existing files to match certain requirements, I did not want to mess up code on the main branch, so i created a new branch and updated all files that are needed. so that branch is tailored to the specifications of this particular project. You can simply leave the script as is and Use my code in your server to complete the task, If you update the script and change my username to yours, You would have to create a new branch on your repo also and update required files.

Okay I used the same branch on my end and the first tag weren’t checking Just to understand does the script make those required changes on the files ? I’m not quite sure that it does So we’re supposed to manually make the file changes yes ?

Yea we are supposed to manually update the files, So in order to make it automated, I already made those changes in my repository on a different branch, so as soon as i change branch to that app-server branch, it automatically fetches the updated files from my repo.

Before I Setup Replication I already created the database that was meant to be replicated In my web-02, Since its saying Database Does not exist, It means you need to create the database first,Log Into MySQL server on web-02 and Run the following commands to create the database, and Tables then Try testing the replication again. CREATE DATABASE tyrell_corp; USE tyrell_corp; CREATE TABLE nexus6(id INTEGER, name TEXT);

@@opeoluwaadeyeri Thank you for replying, I did exactly that and it is not working properly still. So the database and table were created successfully, but when i run 'SELECT * FROM nexus6;' the records are not showing, instead I get 'Empty set (0.00 sec)'

@@opeoluwaadeyeri I think it works now, so my previous records are not showing...I created a new record in the master web-01 sql to check, then when I ran 'SELECT * FROM nexus6;' on web-02 slave, The table is updated with the newly created record only and does not show the previous records that were there before. I am assuming this is how it works? that replication only works from the date it is created moving forward, any records that were created before replication are not visible maybe? could that be a possibility? Initially I did it so the MASTER & SLAVE will be on the same level (in sync) when replication begins just as a safety precaution to avoid errors, Afterwards I discovered It is isn't really necessary, Data already existing before replication is setup will simply be ignored

This feature ultimately depends on what terminal or operating system you're running, For example it comes by default on Kali Linux. It is certainly not pre installed on ubuntu and I do not plan on installing it. Thanks anyways.
