Canada not have the same fishing season opener at the US?
@castinthekawarthas
@castinthekawarthas Ай бұрын
We actually have many different season openers for all species within the province of Ontario. It’s all split up into zones, and each zone has its own fishing regulations. The fishery that we were on fell into “zone 20” which allows pre-spawn bass fishing, it then closes for the spawn and reopens after. Most other zones in Ontario don’t allow fishing for bass until after the spawn. Thanks for reaching out man! We hope you enjoyed the video! Tight lines bud 🎣🔥

Any tips for staying vertical while doing this? Ive tried several times to vertical jig open water but even the tiniest amount of wind pushes the boat and transducer off of where my bait is falling and i lose sight of it. I run a helix 5 and a tube jigs most of the time, what's your beam settings like? Anything I should change?
@castinthekawarthas
@castinthekawarthas 7 ай бұрын
Dylan - Hey! We use the Minn Kota trolling motor with i-Pilot and spot lock. It’s a very important piece because it allows us to hold within 5ft of the spot locked spot. Our beam setting I believe is 20 degrees. Unfortunately we have attempted this in the past without spot lock and in the wind it can be very challenging. Hope this helped and good luck getting on the big girls! Tight lines.

Dylan, how can you tell that there are fish with the meter?
@castinthekawarthas
@castinthekawarthas Жыл бұрын
The meter / sonar will show colours for our lure which is directly under us. When a fish swims under us it will show up as a 2nd or 3rd mark of colours, usually larger and more red. At that point we know there’s a fish around and we can get ready. When the fish mark comes close to our lures mark we get ready for them to hit so we can set the hook.
