Nastia performs more gracefully yes like a ballerina but both gymnasts are amazing love ‘em both

Nastia looks so unhappy. She doesn't seem to enjoy gymnastics. That is so sad.

Nastia and Shawn had better back and forth competitions honestly. This one is just a very fresh healthy Shawn going up against a weary, injured, exhausted Nastia. Funny that at this point you could call Nastia a veteran even though she was still a teen. I love hearing her commentary on all current gymnastics, although I know some don't appreciate how she responded to the Nassar scandal. I only know about that because i read about it on Reddit. But these two went back and forth for years as rivals until Nastia retired in 2012 I believe.

These judges are ridiculous. Nastia was way better on balance beam and uneven bars. Never can believe these judges back in those says. No way Shawn Johnson’s routine would stand up these days.

Watching in 2024 and I love SJ so much. Simone B reminds me so much of her. Both little and strong and they are all about the power. Very similar styles, and while I also do love and appreciate the more artistic types (I love them all) my eyes and heart tend to gravitate to those tiny, compact powerhouse gymnasts. Also, I don't mean to take away from Nastia, she looks like an angel on that beam and her moves are gorgeous and impressive. Both are amazing women!!

Ok ... Shawn's phenomenal acrobatically, but I much prefer Nastia's style w/the long lines elegance and flexibility. My roommate preferred Shawn. On any given day one could win over the other though; that's why they BOTH got the Wheaties box 😊. Which my roommate and I took turns drawing mustaches on, me on Shawn and him on Nastia 😂😂😂! All in good fun of course. It's cool they were/are friends though. ❤

This has become my favorite Nastia fall... she was so mad, she just slapped the floor to stand back up 😂. 2nd favorite is when she'd sit a pass down and stand up without putting her hands down... she was just not having it.

Came back to this video, and Im so glad the paradigma has changed, cause the commentator saying 16 us the peak performance and 18 was not ideal is now laughable, 17 years later, in an Olympics in which a huge amount of athletes, across most countries, are in their 20s

The 2 best American Gymnasts ever, They both have the looks & skills that U will never find again. There R individual gymnasts, but never a pair that pushed each other to such perfection.

These commentators are the coolest. They are so positive and u can tell they love watching gymnastics. I know the guy is Bart Connors but who is the lady? Shawn and Nastia are the best to watch. So satisfying :)

Of course they changed Nastia beam score 🤦🏻‍♀️ I guess gymnast can hit their knees on the ground, but it's no big deal if you're the graceful gymnast and they know who you're father is.
