The best segment in the film. I love how they laid a hint to the strife going on between Agamemnon and Klytemnestra. I could easily ditch the rest of the film and just watch Kevin wander Mycenae. Though not historically correct, the sets were well detailed. I watch Kevin taking pictures of the people and wish I could be there with him. There are only 2 parts I hate in this whole segment: The plastic fruit bouncing on the floor when the bull is cut open and the gang forcing Kevin to leave.

The elaborate sets, exotic locales and incredible score by Mike Moran make this movie feel truly epic. Like you're actually experiencing an odyssey through history yourself. I only wish they would've left out the Monty Pythonesque humor. It feels like it doesn't belong in a movie of this scope and scale.

This video was shot inside the Los Angeles Zoo park at the “Dragons of Komodo” place which is located right next to the Pink Flamingos.

Connery was great as he always is in this very small but key role in Time Bandits. He becomes a father figure for Kevin and him coming back as a firefighter at the end and that wink for me offsets what many see as a negative or sad ending when his real parents are blown up. They were horrible and never cared about him anyway. Now w them gone and Agenemnon being back in his time he will be there to look after or protect Kevin. Possibly again even adopt him as his own son.

Check out the medieval street scene from Jabberwocky. I'm a Archaeologist who specialises in this period.. Gilliam nails the look of 13thc England beyond belief....

So much beauty - plus some dark undertones - in just 1,5 minutes. I always wished the Mycene sequence could be longer . A movie I´d love to see. Just imagine Gilliam´s take on the greek age of heroes - including the Trojan war and the Odyssey. ....

Yes, and the queens headdress and jewellery resembles pieces from priam´s gold treasury. A famous foto shows Mrs Schliemann wearing these items . In another scene Kevin draws a ship that looks like those in the flotilla fleet fresco from Akrotiri.
