The food on Quinta Avenida is a huge disappointment. There’s barely any real Mexican food to be found. Most is Italian, French, or hot dog, hamburger, and pizza joints and cafes everywhere. Might as well have stayed at the Jersey Shore. Que Huevos is horrendous. We had the most unfortunate experience there thanks to the very rude, arrogant waiter. The food was mediocre and certainly nothing special. For real, authentic Mexican food in Playa, you have to walk about 15-20 minutes away from Quinta Avenida. That’s where all the food stands are and where you’ll find delicious tacos, birria, fruit, coffee, sweet bread etc. Most importantly, you’d be supporting the local vendors who are not allowed to setup anywhere near Quinta Avenida. Please support the locals!
@FindMyFoodStu8 ай бұрын
I agree with most of this. Except I love Que Huevos (sure nothing special but was my go to spot across from where I lived for a while) so sorry you had a bad experience there. And yeah, you have to walk to at least 30th Ave, and really further for Mexican. I’ll take Mexican street carts over Surf Taco down the Shore any day!

Do not like ZZQ. The meat is good. However, prices are crazy. One beef rib cost $50. No sides. No beverage. The sides are pretentious, expensive and of low quality. Someone would do better going to Mission BBQ. The brisket is better. The prices are reasonable. Sides are good.

Great homage to Harbor Docks. We started going there in 1979 when they opened and my brother Tom worked there for quite a few years. We used to pull the Luhrs 60 at the end of the dock and walk in from the water. Best place in Destin imho although with my now living in Aberdeen, WA, I haven't been back down in 16 years. But I never have nor ever will forget it! Thanks for the most recent review on YT.

Yes, but in more suburban spots like Rome. Nobody said he invented anything, but even the creators of the Beltline mark his thesis as the start of planning the Beltline in Atlanta. Regardless, it’s an awesome city project, although there are some unintended consequences and promises that haven’t been met.
