During the pandemic, I started to go to antique shows and I encountered Fenton glass for the first time. It was so beautiful, I bought as much as I could. My favorite piece is a little carnival glass pink basket in the drapery pattern with a black carnival glass crest. I now have a big collection of Fenton fairy lamps too.

Think of how far our band could have gone. Apparently the kids lost sight of how important they were to the town and said the band director was too strict and then once it got to the parents it was all but over. I remember being so together as a town and all the kids working so hard at whatever it was they were doing that the band brought a lot of pride. It used to be such a proud thing to see all the kids out practicing in the yard during summer break and then to see it come together on the field just felt so good. I will forever remember the good times growing up here but it is bitter sweet knowing how much has changed. Oh yea……FIRST DOWN WILLIAMSTOWN!!

How old is this? I thought they were only making beads now. The pieces from their past are great.
@csking19733 жыл бұрын
This is from the early 2000's, I believe. I'm not sure they are even making beads now. They do still have a gift shop that sells glass pieces manufactured by other companies but hand-painted at the gift shop by Fenton artists.

I love the Fenton pieces which I have. In this vid they actually showed o piece I have, but in another color. My very favorite is one of their lamps which I think was called Gone With the Wind. It is a kind of dusty rose color, and it is in my bedroom. I’m so sorry they are no longer making such lovely things. Makes me sad. I truly enjoyed this vid.

@@beverlydavid581 - I wonder how many of those were made. I bought mine in the early 1990s. I’d seen it in a store in a local mall and wanted it so much. It was, as I recall, $450.00, and it seemed so expensive. Then the store was going out of business, and I grabbed it. I don’t recall exactly what they were asking, but I think it was $350.00. They only had the one. I was lucky I got to it before anyone else did. My son and his best friend carried it out to the car for me. I was ecstatic to own it. Brought it home, put the boxes in the garage as I was thinking I would get new bedroom furniture. I was fortunate to have stored it, because rather shortly after we had a 6.7 (I think it was) big ol’ earthquake here in So Cal . It was called the Northridge quake. I live n the west, and north end of the San Fernando Valley. Things really shook. But my beautiful lamp did not break. It was perfect in the boxes. Never did get that new bedroom furniture. I’m happy with what I eventually got, and brought out our lamp! Nowadays even my son (in his mid 30s, really loves our lamp here in my bedroom. Did you buy yours n that time period? What state do you live in? If I was technologically savvy I’s take a photo f mine and send it to you. But aren’t we lucky gals to own such a beautiful lamp? Let me know, please!

My brother-in-law, Dave White, played football for the jackets and would have been a senior in this game. Do you have any more footage from the senior half-time? Such as footage of the football players? Thank you!
@csking19735 жыл бұрын
Dave was in my graduating class! I was a band kid, and these videos were from a tape that was sold to families at the time. So, unfortunately I don't have any footage of the football seniors. Sorry. Tell Dave I said hello.
