Are you kidding me? Had you read the manual you would’ve found out that the “handle” you were messing around with is not a handle at all. It is a mist diverter which allows the mist to flow in 2 directions. The instructions say that you have to press the diverter down on the top of the cover until you hear it click into its locking position. Had you removed the tape from the lower tank and lifted the upper tank off you would have seen the packing styrofoam block taped to the tank with the instructions to REMOVE THE SHIPPING BLOCK. Had you added enough water to the upper tank you would have been surprised when the water starts pouring out of the tank. That shipping block is to prevent the float valve from being jammed around during shipping. The block will actually hold the water supply valve open constantly and as you add more water the valve, unable to close due to the shipping block being in place, will continue to allow the water to keep filling the lower tank. Similar to how the toilet fill valve works. NEXT TIME READ THE DIRECTIONS FIRST! So you don’t look like an idiot and talk out your as……never mind.

You need to read the manual. And the tape is on there for a reason. Did you figure out you had a sponge at the bottom of the container?? I'm tryna figure out to put the round device in but you didn't even read the manual or take all the tape off! Ugh
