To be honest it’s kinda sad seeing them in this small venue. Al these big 90s bands that are still alive play in these huge venues and sell out tickets but seeing Helmet play in this small venue when they used to to play in front of thousands of people make me sad. Also page Hamilton could be doing his own solo career because he is very talented

Tho they don't have a single carachteristic of metal lol. Even people who don't listen to heavy music can feel they are noisy but not metal.

Is this all the original members? I like this band a lot. This song was a huge banger. Class act f 94

Definitely not original members.

Yeah, Hamilton started performing with a revolving door of musicians using the name Helmet in 2003 because he needed the money (his words) but the original lineup split up in 1998. They sound fine here, but it’s only 25% of the original lineup.

My favorite Helmet song ever. I had a tape deck put in my '78 Monte Carlo (first car I ever had, in '96) and I remember rolling around town with the Betty album screaming out of the windows...lots of treble, of course. Thank you for posting this, brings back good and tough memories at the same time.

I saw Megadeth in Austin two nights ago. Might have been 3000 in attendance in an outside theatre that holds 14,000. Why would you hold a concert outside in Texas during the month of August? The temp the other day was 103 at 7 pm. Should have held this at the Cedar Park Center.

I saw them probably around 20 years ago at the old Emo's in Austin. The bass player kept trying to get everyone to do a circle pit, to Helmet, which I thought was hilarious. But when the singer introduced the band, I realized it was Frank Bello, the bass player from Anthrax, which to me is one of the greatest thrash bands of all time. Then it made sense he was trying to start a circle pit. Dude has seen circle pits bigger than a trash gyre in the ocean! Helmet was just okay back in the day, but they were lucky to have Frank Bello with them on that tour. You could tell, he was multiple levels up above the rest of the band as far as being a performer and his musicality. #caughtinamosh

Notice the stage diver at 00:31. This kid jumped off the stage, pushing off on a little kid and his grandma in the front row. The guitarist and bassist saw this and summoned a mini-boss behemoth security guy to the stage to monitor for any more ridiculousness. Guy was nearly kicked out of the show.

Funny story. When I bought my Les Paul from Sweetwater Music, my rep asked me how I would like it to be set up. I told him "I want to be Dan Beeman from Helmet, the ultimate rhythm guitarist". Heh.

And my other guitar...of course it is the Page Hamilton signature magenta pink ESP, autographed of course. I am such a sucker for that sort of thing.

Notice the HUGE security/roadie guy at the side of the stage. During "Unsung" (which I have on video as well), near the beginning, some kind did a stage dive right off the head of someone in the front row. Dan Beeman, guitarist, motioned to the crew guy/mini-boss level dude to keep an eye on the crowd and keep them in line. Funny.
