SoFi sucks. I tried to open an account and had to talk to three different reps. Then, they wanted me to send copies of the front and back of my drivers license, so I made excellent scans in two formats on a flatbed scanner. Then, they tell me I have to freaking use my phone to take photos of the license and can't submit the perfect scans I took. And then, they also want me to take a selfie and send it, too. Why do they need a selfie when I'm sending my photo ID? Do they think I might be using someone else's license to make an account for myself so they can steal my money? What morons. I told SoFi where to stick it. No other online bank asks for all these things to open an account.

Can you explain the direct-deposit requirement to be eligible for the 4.0 APY? I have direct deposit set up with a local ban checking account, must I have to have my paycheck switched to direct deposit with Sofi checking to have the 4.0 APY? Or does it simply mean I have to set up direct deposit so I can transfer money manually to my Sofi HYSA and still earn the 4.0 APY?

I've been a WF customer for at least 10 years. Never cared for their robo service, but I've had a cash account since they became available. But now for me, The risk to reward factor at WF has gotten to high. Why risk to get 4.5% when I can get 4.45% at Schwab in a money market fund (it's just as accessible & SPIC) , or 5.5% in a MYGA or CD if I want to tied it up for 3 months to multiple years.

@ The issue at stake here was; is Wealthfront safe? It was mentioned in this video that was not insured by the FDC and it is. And second, it was stated that it doesn’t work with partner banks and they do; Wells Fargo being one of them. I have an account with them and I can confirm. As a costumer of Wealthfront and a user of many other banks. I have only positive feedback. They have lowered their APY, but they still have one of the highest out there. Their system is easy to work with and transferring money is also very easy.

@@norbertodiaz5346 wealthfront isnt insured by the FDIC. what this means is if wealthfront fails, your money is still dispersed within its partner banks. "No, Marcus by Goldman Sachs does not charge fees for sending or receiving wire transfers. However, the external bank you are sending the money to may charge a fee" Does marcus account charge to have money exit it? I found the above info on the google machine, by way of goldman sachs website. I saw in your video, which is quite nice, it was said that money leaving the account will be subject to a fee. Is that true in your experience? Thanks
@alexisidro24 күн бұрын
I’ve never taken money out of my savings at an ATM. So never experienced it. But that’s pretty common. Sometimes the bank itself won’t charge you a fee, but the third party bank that is giving you the money on behalf of your bank WILL charge you a fee. That’s how they make their money. In some cases as well, your bank may reimburse you the fee that third party bank will charge you.

High Debit card limits if needed,, permanant or temp... The etrade side doesnt offer Zelle yet,, but there premium side of Morgan Stanley does,, as well as Cashiers Checks, and overnight free debit card and replacement... so def a great benefit...
