Groove is a mood. One can wake up in the mood, but it's not that likely. Same with going to bed. One is too sleepy for groove. But that leaves plenty of room. I have noticed that groove is mostly a solitary form of music.

That's such an interesting perspective on groove! It really does seem to have its own time and space - something that sneaks in when we’re fully present. It's a funny life. I enjoy music of many sorts. I watch sports on television but find gambling really boring. Except with friends for fun. Really just card playing. But many TV ads are about gambling now. So back to music and jazz. I do try to make good decisions. If I forget, my wife reminds me.
