@_SeToZ_ it runs great compared to bedrock edition in my experience, although this version has been taken off of the eshop, and no physical cartridges were ever made for this version. You could install it on a modded switch, but if your switch isn't modded then there's no way of getting this game unless you already owned it.

@_SeToZ_ Bedrock edition is still totally worth it in my personal opinion, although performance on switch can be suboptimal. But yeah, if you just want to play minecraft, by all means go for it.

@@winSonoma to be honest, I have no idea. Although that may be true of it being a direct port from Xbox One or 360. To really know, you'd probably have to ask someone from 4J Studios though.

@@MoyanoJerald I love the Vita legacy version. The controls are kinda unique but easy to get used to. It was honestly the main reason I bought a Vita in the first place lol.

@flaming62 And it's the only Portable Edition developed by 4J Studios (Other Ocean went with the New 3DS Edition, which i got to buy before the eShop closure)

@@hondomania I used a plugin with AutoPlugin2 (you need to jailbreak your vita to overclock.) I unfortunately cannot remember the name of the plugin at this time though.

@@Cuddlefish3 for normal minecraft you should be able to find it on the playstation store or PKGj. But for enhanced, you'll need a computer and then to follow one of the couple guides online. I personally followed the guide on their website.

@@cowboy-e-girl yeah for some reason the physical cartridge was only released in Japan, and some places in Europe. North America never got a cartridge release, and just got a case with a download code instead.

@@Lumorer you can't get this version anymore. It was removed from the eshop when bedrock edition released on switch, and also never got a cartridge release. The only way to get it is to mod your switch and pirate it.

@@Stuffedcrust_73 the only way to get this on switch nowadays is to mod your switch, and pirate the game. Honestly, if you wanted to play legacy edition again, I'd just look at local thrift shops, pawn shops, or Facebook marketplace, and buy a used ps3 or xbox 360 to play the game.

@@squarestar326 honestly I likely won't. It's been a couple months since I last uploaded anything, and my next upcoming video (coming eventually™️) is not going to be minecraft related at all. If I can ever find the time to make a video on it, I will though.

@@squarestar326 I honestly didn't even know about it until earlier today. Also my switch has been having issues as of about a month ago that makes it so I can't play any games at the moment. Maybe once I get it fixed I'll try it out.

@@Envisii I also grew up with this game. I remember playing it a bunch as a kid. Many great memories there. I knew I had to make this video when I noticed that there's not a whole lot of stuff out there about this game. It's kinda sad really.

@@mashaaa2704 unfortunately no, since they are two separate versions of the game. Vita Edition is legacy console edition, which was only available on consoles, and had no cross platform play (for example, Vitas can only play with other Vitas, PS3s can only play with other PS3s.) The mobile version of minecraft is a form of bedrock edition, which is the new form of minecraft for pretty much everything. Bedrock edition includes cross platform play, which means you can play online with people on other platforms, as long as they are also playing a form of bedrock edition. (For example, PS4 players can play with Xbox One players.) Bedrock edition was never released on Playstation Vita though, so unfortunately you can't play cross platform on a Vita.

@@mashaaa2704 depends on if you prefer cross platform playability, or portability. If you want minecraft that you can take with you everywhere, and play at any time, Vita might be the way to go. But, if you prefer being able to play cross platform with friends over portability, the switch lite may be a better choice. It's really up to you.

@@LuckyXerxes yeah I got to that later in the game. Most of the footage I used for this video was from when I had just started playing the game again. I improved quite a bit by the time I was done though!

Shouldn't be happening in vanilla unless your world has a lot of redstone running or you're flying fast. Could always look into overclocking a modded one

Update minecraft overclock your vita anyways sony underclocked them from the factory for battery life

Yeah. I feel like the forced motion controls is what held this game back more than anything. Although as I was playing the game I did end up getting pretty used to it. I think the worst part about the the motion controls isn't even the basic steering the car, but trying to do air spins because it seems to be like a 50/50 if it'll even work at all lol.

@@flaming62 The Wii or all systems in general should have all games work properly with a standard dual analogue controller. Motion controls or any other gimmick should be a secondary option. So many arcade racers on Wii were ruined by this gimmick. A great example of this is Cruisin. Try that one and tell me how well the steering works.

@@Jolly-Green-Steve yeah I'd have to agree honestly. However, sometimes being forced to use the gimmick can be frustrating in a funny way. Sometimes the gimmicks of a certain console can be enjoyable, but they should still support standard controllers.
