North African is very different to the other Africans, and had to have come from a completely separate immigration much later, or through even more Spaniards of substantial North African descent.
@izemrasenchenini8 ай бұрын
Not so different. North Africans are basically a mixture of West African Hunter-Gatherer like Yoruba people and North African Hunter-Gatherer, which also includes West Eurasian autosomal ancestry. Same goes for Horn of Africans. Somalis, for example, derive virtually 50% of their genetic make-up from Levantine ancestry. Even Burundians have around 7-10% Anatolian Farmer admixture in some individuals. As for West Africans, such as Fulani, derive 1/4 their ancestry from West Eurasian component. And other West Africans, even Nigerians have around 10% North African Farmer ancestry. So no, not way different.

Although it would be nice to visit SanLorenzo ..I just go to park street and get all that food, including the stuff you couldn’t find there.
@stuffnetworks11 ай бұрын
I’m from San Lorenzo and this was more just me being stubborn, i wanted to find good food in my town, I didn’t want to have to go to Cayey, but, sadly, this was the best I found, on this trip anyway. 🙂
@DodgyRadio11 ай бұрын
Bro, Thank you for posting. I’m actually staying at the B&B right now for the next 10 days. I’m concerned about the parking situation. How congested does it get. We plan to got out during the afternoon. Were you able to park during the weekend evenings. Thanks in advance for responding.
@stuffnetworks11 ай бұрын
Hello!! Parking can suck on weekends, my tip is park your car with a bit of the rear by the parking area where the hammock is but leave most of the car outside so that you have enough space to maneuver in order to get out. People come and just park in front of other cars anyway so it’s not guaranteed that you won’t have to go find the owner of a car. I never had to though, but I did see people just come and park right in front of other cars. I hope you don’t plan to go out much because if you are, you might end up hating the road up and down the mountain lol, it’s just 15 minutes every time when you need to go anywhere just to get to town. Be careful of the entrance to the road, at the light next to the gas station and cooperativa, there is a pot hole there that blew my tire. Finally, make sure the owner explains the cistern to you because when I went we were often left without running water and had to rely a lot on the cistern. Aside from those things, amazing view 🙂
@DodgyRadio11 ай бұрын
@@stuffnetworks Thanks for the reply. I’m already parked where I saw your car parked in ur post. Agree about the rough road (understatement). What time did you notice cars parking? What time did the restaurant close and things quiet down?
@stuffnetworks11 ай бұрын
@alroman164 usually they were done by 10. Never had any issues, never got too loud. So that was good. When I went it didn’t get very full till Sunday, most of the other days it was pretty empty, usually fuller at night, but again, by 10 usually done. I will note that I was there while the fiestas of San Sebastián were going on, so, it’s possible that affected things a bit. 🙂

San Lorenzo is beautiful! I actually should save this for when I visit PR! Food looked great. Looks pricy though 👀 lol
@stuffnetworks11 ай бұрын
Yea a lot of the places I went to I found the foods to be kind of pricey. I mean, stuff is pricey here in the states, so, that makes sense, but, part of why I was disappointed too, like, if all this imported food is so pricey, maybe start cooking some local stuff. No restaurant I went to had like viandas, I wanted some malangas con chicharrones, couldn’t find that anywhere. Always same menu of some meats and mofongo. It’s like PR food has turned into Mexican food, where Mexico has an amazing cuisine with so many dishes but pretty much every Mexican restaurant just sells the same, Taco, Burrito, Enchiladas, Quesadillas. I was honestly pretty disappointed with the kind of food I kept finding, the places that sell what I wanted (Lechoneras) were all closed cuz the only open weekends or they were on vacation after a busy Christmas season. I could have gone to Guavate but I was trying to avoid it.
