I just wish I knew who those other people were, like the German guy, the bus driver, the artist, the woman with the baby, the British guard, the fireman, the taxi driver, the knight, the blonde woman with the purple hat and scarf, the kid on the diving board, the zookeeper, the woman watering her flowers, the guy in the red and white Middleton Lions shirt, the kids in the pool, the swimmer, the guy feeding the giraffes, the guy in the car and the two guys walking.

This show along with several classic shows from PBS, gave me such fond memories from my childhood. I don't know if children get the same type of quality entertainment today. I wonder if this type of show is what's needed for today's kids?

I liked Mr Green Jeans more than Capt. Kangaroo. Mr. GJ always brought animals on the show. The Capt. sounded sleepy and was boring.

0:17 Edward Mulhare was the ghost Captain Daniel Gregg on The Ghost And Mrs. Muir. Also Devin Miles on Knight Rider.

They should have also had Big Bird, Robin Williams as Mork, Peter Falk as Columbo, Roger Moore as James Bond, Tom Selleck as Magnum P.I., Bob Denver as Gilligan and Robert DeNiro as Taxi Driver!

Bob Denver appeared as himself in 1977.

This is like a "whos who" of 1970s CBS television. Although i did find myself thinking "who??" a few times.

WOW! Gee, I'm feeling really old now😮. It's too bad that kids today can't enjoy something as simple as a song and goofy graphics. I think "we" need to remember that kids are still just kids. They are exposed and live in so many "adult" type issues I don't believe they know how to deal with things rationally. They seem to react in the ways they see on TV. Sad 😢

Why did they do this? Was there a different person each show? This is all of them put together?

Bob Keeshan, who played Captain Kangaroo, was a marine at the very end of World War II, but he never was in combat and the war ended before he was deloyed overseas. There is a persistent, but totally false, urban legend about him being in combat, but it has no merit.
