The best way to minimise the impact of whalewatching on marine mammals is to view them from land. As I point out in this video, unlike vessel-based whalewatching, land-based whalewatching has no minimum distance requirements. Thus, if you are patient and persistent, up close Encounters are possible, as I have experienced on many occasions, as this KZbin video illustrates: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pYO3paOZhZ19Z7Msi=mGpdirJmpODRahh6

Hi :) where’s the waterfall ? Thank you and wonderful video! What typos of camera did you use?
@ForVI7 жыл бұрын
Hi Karina! The waterfall is Elk Falls in Campbell River. The videos were shot on a few different cameras by our creative agency, so we're not 100% on the specific models.

The video looks wonderful but it doesn't identify where the films are shot. This would help tourists a great deal -- when something looks interesting on the video, I'd like to know where it is so I can include it in my travels.

We don't have a train, or Greyhound, or even Uber. But we might get a ferry that takes less than 3 hours to get to downtown Vancouver soon!

my wifes family emigrated from noldon colliery co durham england to nanaimo in the early 1900s robert and martha potter also martha s sisters emma and brother george moore. martha and roberts son joseph returned to boldon colliery to visit his auntie margaret skelton who lived in store buildings. his two friends amy a native canadian caused quite a stir and Jerry married a boldon colliery girl and they had a son also Gerald, Joe and his pals were stationed in the miners hall over the road to joes auntie margaret . The lads were to take part in the d day landings and sadly Joe was killed by a sniper in caen on the 9th June. but hes always been remembered .

Excellent video with a good message, couldn't agree more we need to have tourists feel welcome and with just a little extra effort they will go home and share positive experiences and tell others. One activity missing though is diving, unless I missed it as we do have world class cold water diving and many wrecks to explore. Good job VIT!

I had the privilege of growing up in Nanaimo and have so many fond memories of the magnificence and natural beauty of Vancouver Island. Unfortunately, we moved to Southern California when I was about 16 years old and in retrospect I didn't really appreciate what a wonderful place Nanaimo and the island is. There is nothing in California that can compare the wilderness type lifestyle of Nanaimo and Vancouver Island. I would trade California living in a heartbeat to be able to return to Nanaimo to live out the remainder of my retirement years.
