Good bass. Makes the song sound mean on my headphones. Nice oshare sound and cool guitar solo

Omg this song is awesome!! WTF. AND THAT LINEUP EXPLAINS EVERYTHING.

Aliene Ma'riage mast was in this band lol isn't that crazy? also i thought this was a previous band of the vocalist from duel jewel. very similar voice and way of singing almost eerily similar
@miraclesage86223 күн бұрын
This lineup is literally stacked with oldschool VK legends lmao. It's the guitarists from S and Aliene, bassist from ElDorado and drummer from La'Mule. I had no idea this band even existed!!

@@miraclesage8622 Wow! you're right what an awesome bunch, i wonder sometimes how it must feel for those guys from the analog days to see how vkei has evolved and sometimes devolved lol and evolved with it. where you had to either get signed into a big label or be part of a smaller but successful indies label in order to record anything. equipment was expensive so it was only demo tapes back then. what a mind boggling scene this one.
That drummer is awesome lol actually surprisingly a lot of these Japanese drummers are oddly highly disciplined , paredeis , irokui , also had insane drummers (for oshare), I think irokui drummer performed that last live of theirs with no noticeable errors. don't know what they're feeding these guys lol

Bassists in vk need credit too, they play with a lot more groove and melody than what you often find in western rock bands where the bass is more simplistic and integrated. Honestly Vk as a whole is very underrated and I wish it was more popular. We have some of the best music in the world in this genre so it’s a shame it’s so hard to get people into it
@jinxxpwnage5 күн бұрын
@miraclesage8622 yep! They love their complex bass lines for sure! I know. i wish this was easier to get into for people. Though it seems the younger generations are much more in tune with this stuff and may support it! A lot of malice mizer , jiluka , deviloof , madmans esprit fans out there. Key figures moving to la, etc. Wouldn't surprise me if we start seeing a US vkei scene eventually. Which i think had been attempted in the past by key party but didn't work. Vk could compete in today's music landscape for sure. i think it was tougher back then.

@miraclesage8622 Before i forget, shoutout to karin from nogod. Homeboy/girl is a beast. I'm sure you've seen their covers. Fingerpicking thick bass strings like that is no joke.

I noticed that I appreciate a lot of vkei instrumentals because of the drums and the bass, like, man, why most of them are so good?!
@jinxxpwnage3 күн бұрын
@@iuitoto It's possible that because drums take up so much space and are so loud to be kept and played in small Japanese residential spaces. then most of the drummers in japan potentially attend classes that take place in specialized areas meant for drumming without bothering others. this in turn means they most likely had a teacher/mentor. and carry this all through middle school , high school so by the time they join these bands drummers could be considerably more advanced than their self taught mates. then because bass is so closely related to drums. bassists spend a lot of time with these drummers hence maybe becoming better as well. Drums have pitch but they're mostly percussive instruments meaning drummers spend the majority of their time subdividing all sorts of ways, the same reason self taught guitarists somehow achieve insane phrasing and dexterity but are often bad at playing on time. since guitar has a wide range of pitch, guitarist get better at pitch than rhythm specially lead obsessed guitarist, will only practice sweep picking all day to constant subdivs, 16th notes etc, but will struggle to play none constant subdivs. This gives us this pattern we sometimes see in vkei where drums are advanced , bassists are advanced, rhythm guitar is simple and stays rhythmic , and lead guitar/solos are great but remain moderate in difficulty due to solving for irregular subdivs being a pain. there are of course ways to solve for this. This is just a theory of mine, i could be wrong and i don't mind being wrong lol but drums are extremely loud i know this first hand and we know japan is crowded and living spaces small. at least those are absolutely true.

Love the lo fi sound of the guitars! really high reverb+Flanger played with that bridge active pickup. 1:19 - 1:30 palm mutes are amazing too.
