isnt it extremely humid in costa rica? trying to relax at night in 85 degree/80% humidity open air doesnt sound great

It’s definitely a lifestyle choice, however this place sits up above 1000 feet above sea level and has great breezes. I live very close to it and often have a sweatshirt and light sweatpants on in the evenings. (May thru December). 80-85 is the daily average and 68-75 nightly. Dry season, less humidity, is a bit warmer but with the breezes and a ceiling fan it’s quite comfortable. Feel free to reach out at my email with any questions you may have.

I checked out Costa Rica for three months because I intended to live there. What nobody is telling you is that you will have an insanely hard time if you want to resale your house for good reasons. Costa Rica has no armed forces and Nicaraguan criminals just walk into the country and rob the expats at their homes. The local police doesn't take action because they have ""better things to do than to babysit foreigners". Almost every expat from Europe or US and Canada I met wanted to leave. They check out if you are able to buy their house. If you are not interested they suddenly tell you the reason why they want to leave.

I have heard the same thing numerous times. Gated communities with 24hr guards help, but the constant threat remains a sad reality there.

Hello! Foreign buyers have the same rights as Costa Rjcan Nationals when it comes to buying land here. There are several ways to apply and obtain Costa Rican residency. Without residency, you are considered a tourist, and would be required to leave Costa Rica every 180 days, and then you can return. But that doesn’t affect ownership. You can still live and own here. Very close, yes. The home is made from beautiful Brazilian hardwood. Replacement would be a bit more, and yes, The land is in a very good location, and offers more usable area than any mountainside parcel. Subdividing is possible too, but the privacy is unmatched for a piece this size. Lots in the area are small and steep with a small a buildable area, where this sits on a rare plateau.
