Hey Jon, You can use just the encoder wheel so no positioning just straight line data. Or you can create a very intuitive and customizable Grid layout physically then collect your corners or points if needed for later positioning of the gridded data. Or you could always ( if feasible) use a robotic total station to collect survey grade accuracy outside of good GPS positioning. Then as things develop we have been working on integrating IMU technology with our GPR solutions like the Stream-UP but this technology could come to these smaller push carts hopefully as well that gives you IMU positioning once the GPS system "floats" or loses lock. Hello, unfortunately since steel fiber reinforced concrete has many small steel fibers inside. It makes it nearly impossible to use GPR (ground Penetrating Radar) of any kind to be used since the signal reflects off of all the steel fibers running throughout the concrete. However if just about ANY other type of concrete GPR works excellent.
