I can’t seem to locate a good spinner. I like how smooth yours is. What kind is it and where did you get it? Thanks
@AnnaBlountArt3 күн бұрын
It’s a cake spinner that I got on Amazon for about $35. I don’t remember the brand, but I followed a link from a Left Brained Artist video about spinners.

Can you use the Rust Oleum Gloss Clear on tiles?

You can put it on tiles, but it doesn’t make a hard enough finish for coasters. I’ve tried…

Where should I start at the beginning of pouring paint and what are cells
@AnnaBlountArt5 күн бұрын
Hi Paula, I have a whole playlist of beginner-friendly techniques, including a video on how to mix paint! I’d recommend that you watch a few of those, then get some inexpensive paints and canvases, and give it a try! Cells are the round shapes that form in acrylic pours, due to interactions between paint colors. The easiest way to get cells is by adding a drop or two of silicone oil to the paint.

Can you just use a Amsterdam titanium and water or Floetrol as a pillow
@AnnaBlountArt8 күн бұрын
The Amsterdam white and water is a cell activator, and shouldn’t be used as the pillow. Floetrol is a thinning additive. If you wanted a transparent base, you could use straight floetrol, but it wouldn’t be thick enough to be the pillow for a “bloom” pour like I’m demonstrating here. But if the rest of your paints are mixed with floetrol (rather than the bloom pouring medium), your pillow absolutely can be acrylic paint mixed with floetrol, instead of house paint.
@patriciamora29158 күн бұрын
@@AnnaBlountArt I’m confused at what your saying I can use for a pillow if I don’t have house paint? I can use an acrylic paint just not Amsterdam white. What if I want a white background. What would I use?
@AnnaBlountArt8 күн бұрын
@@patriciamora2915 Any acrylic paint, including Amsterdam, can be mixed with floetrol to become a pillow paint. Amsterdam white mixed with water is what you’d use for the cell activator, though. The pillow and cell activator are different thicknesses and serve different purposes.

Can you try using your colors as the swipe medium? A swipe for each color on a night sky base? In my head, it looks like the northern lights. My swipes aren't ready for that but you have skills!

Bravo! I'm pretty proud of this remake of your acrylic painting you did last week I can see all the colors Black, Pink and Green instead of the Black almost eating all the colors the only thing is that during the drying process the black makes the painting look like cells the more you retry the better you'll become even your fail paintings Way to go Anna keep the great work will keep watching to see how much you grow with these paintings acrylic
