We're mostly all Scandinavian actors in this three part fan film, but yes, Magnus is great! :-)

I understand where you're coming from. I just didn't feel that this story could withstand that kind of "fanfare", since it's a much more intimate story than the major Star Wars story. Also, even though the text isn't running up, we do have the text explaining the story in the same style. Three paragraphs and the four dots at the end. ;-) I'm more into paying tribute in a more subtle way in some cases and others a bit more open. Like the inclusion of the line "I've got a bad feeling about this", for instance.

Ah, okay. Personally, I feel that there's still plenty of good Star Wars content being made, but not in the overwhelming amount that it "should be". I loved Andor and Rogue One, Clone Wars and the Bad Batch, liked The Mandalorian and Rebels, so there's stuff out there for me, and then there's a bunch of stuff that's... for others, let's say it like that. :-D

This particular story will always end right where the fun begins, but Part II picks up immediately up from this, so stay tuned! ;-)

We're currently in the final stages of finishing Part II and we'll hopefully have word of a release date for that sometime during the month of November or December! :-) We may have a single or two showings for fans in cinemas in the capital area of Denmark, but our main focus is releasing it on KZbin.

If you search "Star Wars Fan Films" in the Search Bar, you'll find hundreds of fan films, so it's not an issue. What's super important when making fan films is to not profit off of it or pass it off as "the real deal". On our production we went so deeply into that commitment that everyone working on the film has done so as a volunteer, which also explains why it's taken ages to finish. :-D

You're a composer? Currently, I'm quite fond of my collaboration with composer, Peter Due, and his companion, Michael Cryne. Their work will also really shine through in Part II and especially Part III! But yes, you do see a lot of talented folks get linked with Lucasfilm and then unlinked again, so even though the dream of being hired by Lucasfilm is the goal, the maintaining of that job alongside my mental health is far more important.

No, I actually never really got into that game series, even though I've played one or two installations. The music was mostly inspired by works of Max Richter, if any. Otherwise it was extensive conversations with the composers about what feelings we wanted the music to convey. You're not the first one to feel a Halo vibe, though!

@SarwarsStarwars I can't wait, I am a 60-year-old SW fan; it is a shame the woke crap is fueling the destruction of Franchises of history's past. Disney just can't help themselves by injecting political junk that no fan wants in films today.

I find A LOT of companies have really taken it upon themelves to "show the way forward", but it comes off as a bit disingenous as I find that many fans feel, whether it be Star Wars, Lord of the Rings or Disney Live Action remakes and countless other companies. The pendulum will swing back towards a sense of a "new normal", where story will take precedence once more. I have to believe in that. I will at the very least do my part to contribute towards a new normal, where storytelling will once again be the driving force.

Length-wise or regarding release date? Because it'll be both shorter and coming soon. ;-)

If all goes well, there should be a new part up within 3 months! As it's all volunteer work, sometimes things take longer time than hoped!

One of the things I was aiming for with this fan film was to bring storyline and acting to the forefront, and though I absolutely humble myself to the greatness of one of Denmark's master thespians, Lars Mikkelsen, I also felt that it was important that I justify my position in front of the camera, since I am wearing many "hats" on this production. I'm greatly appreciative of your words and I look forward to hearing back from you, when the two other parts are out, which bind the whole story in this together in a way that this first part can't do alone. Can you tell me how someone who's not necessarily an avid Star Wars fan have come across our work? I find that most people who watch these types of work specifically search for Star Wars Fan Films, and it's always interesting to hear from people who might not have searched in that way?

I couldn’t have told you before yesterday who Lars Mikkelson is, even though upon googling his name, it turns out I’ve watched quite a few TV shows that he’s been in. And it was only reading the other comments I learnt he’s played Grand Admiral Thrawn in the official releases, and I have to add that at no point was I watching yours and his performances and seeing any disparity in your respective acting abilities, seriously, none whatsoever, not that I’m any sort of a critic, I hasten to add, but as a neutral audience member I honestly wouldn’t have known, which is the highest praise I can think of. Knowing this now I can only imagine it must’ve been pretty daunting to act opposite such an obviously consummate professional, but you absolutely held your own. As to how I came to watch it I think it was simply that because I occasionally go down a KZbin sci-fi rabbit hole the algorithm pushed it my way and I was sufficiently intrigued to watch it. I’m really late to the game, though, because although I’ve been aware of written fan fiction for years, it hadn’t actually occurred to me that there would be fan films, even though they’re the next logical step. Anyway, that’s enough from me and thanks again for your film, and like I say I look forward to further instalments.
