That was a tense watch, was gritting my teeth and clenching my fists watching that zebra take one for the team. A true teammate. Joking aside, when the zebra went down at the end, only then did i breathe a sigh of relief. Tough watch, but thank you for sharing.

I am aware that preying on an animal is extremely normal in nature, but what I saw here...... It was certainly very violent and the animal must have felt great pain

У крокодилов пир . Жаль зебру . Природа она такая ….И всё-таки крокодилы удивительные животные . За миллионы лет эволюции, крокодилы стали совершенными хищниками. Охотятся крокодилы только когда голодны . Если рептилия сыта, она никогда не нападет на возможную жертву, даже если будет такая возможность. Как они мне нравятся ❤

I’ve seen literally thousands of videos and this is one of them that made me angry and made me yell at the tv saying STOP MOVING SO MUCH and stop zooming in and out without getting the picture on the frame correctly. I thought it was someone young till I heard him yell MOVE to a zebra for stopping to drink water lol this was one of the worst video I’ve seen and to top it off the vehicle he was on wasn’t even moving Hahaha. I stopped watching many times cause it was getting me frustrated but I would come back to watch again just to see how bad the poor zebra had his face eaten off. Don’t get me wrong it was a good video cause it recorded great scenes but the video itself S@ck%d big time. Can’t believe a video made me angry for natures beauty. This is a good one of a kind scene. Poor zebra but that’s nature.

I think the crocodiles attack the weakest zebras. The crocodiles try to sustain as little damage as possible to themselves.

Amazing footage. The face being ripped off was the most gruesome and dramatic of course. But the behaviour of the crocodiles was also very interesting. Seeing how they at times swam right up to the Zebra, touching them even, but did not bite. I wonder how they select a prey, or what triggers then to go after a certain individual. Obviously they go after the ones that stray into the deeper water. But what would be the purpose of swimming right up to the main herd, but not really actively biting? To spook individuals into the deeper water perhaps?

Its not that deep, crocodiles have a brain the size of a peanut, they basically dont think and act almost randomly

To get the zebra to panic is my guess, push them out of their herd, then stray into deeper waters making them vulnerable. Obviously some are going to panic more than others causing more of a reaction leading to their fate.

Holy smokes that was absolutely brutal. That last zebra fighting for minutes with his whole face ripped off and croc still holding on by his skin,and once it does finally come off he still fights til he can't go anymore prob bc of loss of blood and he literally has no face. Its nothing but skin and tissue hanging from its face. Gnarly. That's the will to survive I can't imagine the pain, or maybe there was so much adrenalin the zebra went into shock I dunno. Either way that's nature. Strong survive and its absolutely medieval everything wants to eat everything else. If you're old,weak,or injured you won't make it long..
