I am a huge fan of this idea but I think your arrangements could be improved to make them perfect. I lose track of lead melodies because they seem to get buried under the backing rhythm and harmonies and sometimes the arrangement feels like it loses time and falls apart slightly, I don't do orchestral arrangements myself so I could be wrong but I believe it's because the attack on some instruments is too slow and soft where a sharp attack would be better suited like on fast intricate lines the notes all seem to blend together because the attack is too soft for instance at 2:20 the notes are coming too fast for the attack on your strings and so they blend into each other and the melody is lost. I mean no disrespect at all and hope my criticism helps you refine these arrangements further.

Quite epic and awesome music. I love this. The orchestral version of this Dream Theater song sounds like a final boss battle to me in a Zelda or Final Fantasy game.

Wow! La acabo de escuchar desde el equipo de audio que tengo aquí en casa…Escucharla de esa manera logré percibir cada instrumento de una manera fenomenal! A mi edad he escuchado de todo! Y esto que lograste Alan es algo verdaderamente bello!! Como anécdota, en uno de los conciertos de Juan Gabriel que ofreció en Bellas Artes tuve la fortuna de presenciarlo… -Me llevaste a recordar ese momento! Hay muchas formas de hacer lo mismo, y la forma varía de acuerdo al criterio, experiencia y sensibilidad de quien lo hace, un buen ejemplo de ello es hacer covers de melodías populares y hay dos formas generales de hacerlo, una es tratar de hacer una copia fiel del original y la otra es hacer una reinterpretación personal, la mayoría intenta la copia fiel con grados diferentes de calidad, pero, la otra forma es la interesante... cuando alguien decide aplicar su gusto respaldado por una experiencia adquirida lo que hace es tomar la obra original y tras despiezarla en su mente literalmente la hace suya... luego le da una nueva forma y en algunas ocasiones le da una profundidad mayor que la original. La obra original del Maestro Juan Gabriel de esta melodía es una verdadera obra de Arte en su estructura armónica y melódica, y por sobre todo, por el sentimiento tan profundo que solo un genio como él fue capaz de volcar a través de notas musicales... y tú, has hecho aquí una verdadera poesía de la perfección misma... la hiciste tuya y la profundizaste en tu reinterpretación. A oídos sin entrenamiento les podrá parecer que te limitaste a interpretar partituras sin mayor mérito que ese, pero, a mis oídos escucho unos arreglos de contra-melodía increíblemente fascinantes y unos arreglos orquestales con variaciones sutiles y de excelente gusto en las armonías y melodías originales. En fin, en pocas palabras reinterpretaste la belleza matizándola y haciéndola más pura y profunda, y felicitarte sería solo una formalidad pues esa acción se queda muy corta contra lo que en su contexto completo realmente aplicaría... igual así lo hago, felicidades por lograr tan impresionante belleza... y lo hago, simplemente, como me enseño Mamá...
