Very Informative video. I never once thought of reversing the half-hitch to run. bow-line to work with the log as it falls top over bottom. Will def. be using that in the future. I can't wait until my boss starts freaking out. I love watching a good team work with as little friction as possible. My boss insists that nat. crotch rigging is just as effective and faster. But then i watch your guys lowering those things like a hot knife through butter. Truly a much smoother process. Thanks for all the videos you post!

you have realy great videos. i have find much information from them. now want a ce lanyard. here where i live (estonia) ta most trees aint very tall (50-70ft is what i get to do everyday). But mostly they are tricky and using the v-rig and a nother ancor has realy improved my work.

My nemesis was always the XXL dead Weeping Willows and XXXL declining Cottonwoods. A 9" diameter branch would snap under the slightest movement. My 21st birthday -one nearly ended me. Good times...

At an ISA convention in 1993, a speaker -using a scoffing tone, spoke about improper tree identification. He said there was no such tree as a "Silver Maple." Of course most the audience present was waiting for the punch line. The correct ID is a "Freeman Maple." I never did like this new moniker -and refused to acknowledge it as such. Its a bloody Silver Maple- Jack!

Thanks. Northeast Tree always gets permits to close roads if we will completely obstruct them. Otherwise, throw out the cones.

i really do appreciate the skill and innovation in your videos but would like to see more around real obstacles. i work a lot around power lines (r.o.w. climbing) as well as resi back yard stuff. been able to put a lot of these techniques to work practically, but would really benefit from seeing more technical big trees. love what you've done let there be no mistake

I chose V.I.O based on a combination of image quality and sound quality. Nothing else even approached the sound quality, in my opinion. New models may be different... I haven't looked at other cameras lately.
