The watrrs near Somalia were the fishing ground for the people of Somalia. When corporations started monopolizing the fishing, those folks lost their livelihood. This was in a documentary a few years ago. Until those people are offered an alternative and overthrow the warlords, the piracy will continue. That being said, keep defending the ships.

Aircraft carriers never launch or recover aircraft when they are at anchor. They use the speed of the carrier to help with the launches and recovery.

This shows how many cannot overcome the will of God Almighty. The greatest machines and scientific vehicles cannot stop God's wrath. Be careful and don't fool yourselves like the Hebrews who had to face the wrath of God

So they took the concept for the USS Zumwalt from the Canadian Frigates from the late 1980s that are mostly computers that run everything.

Leave them alone to swim to shore if they can make it without becoming fish food.

Why use non-lethal measures> It only encourages the pirates to attack ! Most pirates don't want to embark on a suicide mission - seems simple enough to me.

If this is an advance military technology, why tell the rest of the world what it is? Chances are, somebody is going to invent a military ship that will overpower its capabilities.

Most of these smaller boats operate from a Mothership. What the Navy needs to do is sink the Mothership

If pirates succeed in kidnapping the crew ? On a naval warship , the crew isn’t doing their jobs ! And are a bunch of wussy’s that have no business in the Navy !

No. Pirates wouldn't attack a warship
