I’m doing general maintenance and a recap on one of these right now. It’s a solid state driver version. Reverb and distortion model. I am really surprised at the dirty tones on it. I knew the cleans would be excellent but the distortion even sounds fantastic! One of the easiest amps to work on as well. The opamps are all in sockets. Everything is very accessible. The 100k reverse audio gain pot was replaced with a 1 meg due to scarcity I can only assume . I found a 100k tho. Makes all the difference. The speaker needs a re cone. Great amps. I love them.

I"m about to pull the trigger on this speaker, I found Jack's demo of the paper coil vs this one, to show me that the highs with mid or high gain might be a bit brighter than I want with the paper coil. I like the slight decreased, more neutral mids of this one over the paper for Fender cleans also. I have a 65 princeton reissue that I'm trying to find the right pedal dirt sound with, my jensen reissues are great clean but with OD pedals is still a work in progress. There's a new Jensen 50 watt silverbird that sounds killer in demos, but maybe I'll get this Jupiter first! Glad to see another demo of it, there aren't many, thanks.

@ I ordered the Jupiter, it’s arriving in a few days. Maybe I’ll get the Silverbird next up, after selling stuff of course…. Instead of piling up more gear. That’s financial and home space responsibility right?

Cool video.👍 I have an old MORLEY Black Gold Basic WHA Volume pedal. Model BWV. I picked it up many years ago for $20. Uses two 9VDC batteries or a 1/8" TR DC adapter. I could never find a manual for it.

My Jupiter fits crooked in the amp too. I wa putting it in straight and pushed a screw through the fabric of my vintage '64 Deluxe Reverb.

When I fixed and moded mine, I traced the whole schematic and painted the signal path of each channel. And the M5201 switching job. It is a shame i cannot upload a picture here. Plus i did other mods that i didn see online I can send my marked schematic and mods to whom ask.

I just found this series and was so excited, until I actually watch it. Video is about Ty's tone - doesn't even use the settings from Ty in Guitar World or try to play any King's X tunes with it.

Hi! Excellent and entertaining video! I just finished repairing a tv11 and got it working again, after some unnamed savages had tampered with and removed/ stole vital parts and features from it. The one part I couldn’t replace was the missing roll chart. I have looked and looked but so far I haven’t been able to find a copy of the original roll chart with all the common tubes and settings online. The supplemental list is readily available, but it conveniently skips over all the more common amplifier tubes like the 6v6, 6l6 12ax7, 6550 etc. Do you have anything you have found for the tv-11? Would you be willing to take photos of your roll chart for me?

I just started restoration, and I have a good condition roll chart, but the end wraps are tight so I can't get the last wraps or two without fear of damage. If you want me to video the scroll through, can do.

@ that would be great! With that I could reproduce a chart by hand

Such good timing. I already did this to a strat a few years ago but I have a Frankenstrat that needs a rewire. Tele pickups in a strat body with a Danelectro SD strat sized lipstick in the middle. Originally I'd put an OD preamp in the tone 2 knob position and then fudged the 5-way switch to give me neck and bridge together when the switch is in position 4 but it means bridge is in the middle switch position and the middle pickup is in switch position 1 where bridge would normally be. Totally baffling to all but me! 😃 But I was recently gifted dome Vintera tele pups and it's time to say, "Screw that" to all that active stuff and go back to basics...apart from my kill switch, gotta keep my kill switch! So I'm gonna do the blender. But what to stick in the trem cavity now the battery's gone? An emergency toasted ham sandwich? 😜

Hey brother, im fixing my wifes Spector NS-94 which was purchased at the namm show. The truss rod went through the back of the neck and the headstock snapped off. The repair is looking great. But there is the issue why the truss blew out the neck. Any thoughts besides someone tightened it too much?

I have seen the videos on your channel. Your video is excellent but video optimization is very poor, and no SEO score. So your subscribers and views are very few. Your KZbin channel immediately needs to be SEO-friendly. I am a SEO Specialist. I can solve your problems if you want. I'm waiting for your response.

I have a 12LC mounted on a Supersonic 60wat and I like it as much as it sounds, now that I just bought a Deluxe Reverb 65, I had thought about changing the Jessen C12K for an Jupiter M12C, but I had no references for it, how do you see it? ? Would the improvement be significant? thank you

I am working on making a stand alone tube power amp out of the closely related 177B. It has a 9 pin connector that has 3 pins for remote power switch and power to the tuner, the next 3 pin row are grounds for the tuner - but the last 3 pin row appear to provide balance and tone control on the tuner chassis - do you think I can omit or short these?

If I send you $1700, will you build me a hand wired top quality studio jtm head, so i dont buy one of marshalls? Because the amp actually sounds great. I will for real take you up on that offer.

I was thinking...damn he sounds just like Layne Staley! Then I read the description. By the way, I think I preferred the 45. Not sure why.
@TonePriest4 ай бұрын
You don't know how hard it was for me to get Layne to sing for this! Seriously though, the internet is a wonderful thing. I kind of agree with the 45 being the 'best' - it's certainly the most 'traditional' sounding. But, it was also mixed a little louder than the other takes so that could be a factor.
