I wish I could learn from you, the way of peace and love. Unfrotunately my body is always so stiff when I get into contact, and it stops the ki flow

I think aikido would be a good martial art for me because not only does it train empty hand sticks and knives, but also it trains gun techniques that works for self defense and there is a MMA dojo near me that teaches BJJ, kickboxing, judo and aikido and I think it would be useful for me in the street

So cool! This is the same concept as trapping hands in Jeet Kun Do and Wing Chun. And like double blocking in Karate and traditional Tae Kwon Do. So beautiful to see the similarities. the frame you used in your clip on knife defense is an X block in the system I teach, but applied almost identically! Great vid, superb instruction! Thank you for sharing.

Spirals...ah..! I've been working on the same concept, applied more internally... but it was nice to see someone else working on this too. I studied from Imaezumi-san when I was 6 years old! And the Hawaiians were friends of my Dad, including Suzuki-sensei. Domo arigato..!

I really like this kind of details in training. It's beyond "choreographed dance" like other people use to mock Aikido. Onegaishimasu!

This is why Aikido was meant to be learned after the student has already mastered a different martial art.

Kokyu Nage? Irimi Nake as far as i can see. But of course, Kokyu means breathing and Nage menas throw, and if you inhale and and exhale during a tecnic and then throws Uke afterwards, then you can call the most technics Kokyu Nake. Irimi means to move out of attcking line - mostly stepping sidewards out of line.
