A great classic kit that originally was released way back in 1967! At the time Monogram was the leading kit maker. The kit was based on the restored example displayed on the USS North Carolina. In fact I bought a bagged example in the ship's store!

One of the big flaws of the Monogram/Revell kit is the tail. The fin and rudder are waaaaaay too thick by scale. BelcherBits makes a resin replacement, it's worth it, one thing I did was to hollow it out so it didn't add so much weight back there.
