2 years from now Costco will be charged in selling fake bullion, you are trusting China for your silver. Yea yea it's sourced from multiple sources and Costco is not checking for you.

I wonder if premiums change when/if price of silver goes up measurably, say 3 digits. If demand is that high, will the buyer care if it is government minted or not? And how much more/less will matter as it seems to today?

I cracked and bought 3 1oz bars last week.nothing major but i havent bought generic in years.mostly gold and semi numistatic junk last 15 yrs.waitng on 2 proof eagles/ proof like slabbed ,havent bought a silver eagle in 20 yrs.your point made although i think you went over the top a bit.stuff is pricey now.

Here in the U.K. we have to pay 20% tax on silver, that’s why I only collect gold coins like Britannias.

Costco doesn't buy back the bullion. That's why I don't buy from Costco and only buy and sell at my favorite LCS to support them.

Costco's price isn't dirt cheap. It's actually way overpriced. Go to any decent LCS and you will see. Even with the cashback cards and whatever, its still overpriced. Plus, you are getting tracked through your membership.
