¿Las partidas de jannes que se muestran en este video son exclusivas de ese campeonato mundial del 82, o solo es una recopilación de algunas partidas cualquiera.?

Last move is ilegal because it takes an already passed square

piece was taken from other side so nothing illegal, didn't cross 1 piece 2 times

The game at the 2:44 mark is a possible draw. Didn't need to rush to king. Iam a decent play but i still have a very long way to go to attend this level of prowess

From what I’m getting from the comments is that it’s a different variant, unlike Chess the rules and hell even name of Checkers is different in many parts of the world. I’m with you though since I grew up playing with the rule of not jumping backwards. But I’m taking from this that this variants called “Draughts” and that is something you’re allowed to do.
@sunbear93748 ай бұрын
I’m still not happy about it though to find out the version I was raised on isn’t the international version of the game lmao but I guess when you have a game this old expecting consistency is a stretch

American checkers and like two other variants don't allow backwards capture of nonkings. Almost every other variation in the world does. Also the kings have adjacent square movement in American, but can move as far as they can see in draughts.

@@sunbear9374forgive me if I incorrectly assume you're American like me. I've learned living here that there are tons of things Americans choose to do differently just for the sake of being different. Weights and measures being the obvious one.

That's the problem. Many people are unaware of the richness and complexity of international checkers. They rely on the simplicity of the rules and the uniformity of the pieces. However, Go also has very simple rules and identical pieces, and no one would say that it's an easy game. In the "Learn" section of the fmjd, you'll find a whole series of lessons showing you that there's a lot to learn about checkers.
