Nice video. is the Lion fish at 2:07 much of a problem down there?

Yeah, that is my understanding. We saw at the Diver's Den dive shop some flyers for a lionfish hunting tournament. We had some spearfishermen on this trip, but they didn't kill the lionfish (too worried about the barbs and not having the right bag to put them in, or something... not a spearfisherman so I don't really know for sure).

On that second one I started working with one of Marozzo's first two-handed sword plays. I'm surprised at how quick the strike transitions are from guardia di testa, a seemingly nebulous guard (and Robert's quick thrust to my hand in that guard later certainly shows an obvious weakness to be aware of). I don;t think he uses that guard very much, mind you, but I can see some possibilities there.

R and I often have some of those, but I think it's exactly the kind of thing that some complain about as being in the "wrong range". We effectively get into a very precise game of range control. It may seem frustrating, even boring in a way (no dramatic parries, just lots of "misses"), but it's a very different yet very complex game of controlling and knowing your measure so as to just make the other person barely miss. Maybe not good video, but I still think it's an important part of the fight.

By my count you hit me on the 12th exchange (and 13th, as well, but I wasn't bothering to protect against the follow up shot after I'd already been tricked with that damned change-up shot where you hit me in the forearm.)
